After I have finished playing a game I click the home button to get the the home screen but nothing happens, sometimes it goes to the home screen after a little wait like it's lagging..other times it just sits in game not going to the home screen and I get a error

"Caption for error: Error Message: A generic error has occured... No specific details - error for 0x80004005"

      Any ideas?

Same thing has happened on mine from time to time the past week. Thought my controller was broken! I'm assuming it is something with the OS.

I'm a strictly digital video game buyer. I know there are downs to this, obviously. It would be great for us digital buyers and even those who don't, might come into the digital purchases side if they adopted the Steam refund system.

I can't remember how many days you have, but basically, if you have under 2 hours oh playtime you are able to request a refund. That would benefit players greatly. Anybody know if they are considering this type of system? It would be an amazing feature!

            I don't know if they're considering it....

For me I'd need the ability to trade in a game digitally. When I buy a game I've done enough research to know it's not crap.

Until then I'll only buy games I want to own forever (Fallout 4 with DLC) digitally.

Looks like MS is looking to get a mention in all the PS4k articles... here's the 'MS is reportedly working on a revision / new prototypes' news - http://news.softpedia.com/news/micro...r-503172.shtml

Id probably be interested in a revised Xbox One because of Kinect and pass on a new PS4k.

Hopefully it's because Destiny will drop my FPS to 10 on Frontier.

I would wager by Kinect he more meant the XBO is used as the centerpiece of the room entertainment center and uses Kinect for voice commands.

TV pass through, voice commands to turn everything on and off, change channels, switch to Amazon/Netflix/Twitch/[enter app name here]...without needing to change inputs to a PS4 or Fire TV/Chromecast/Roku.

If I were to only get one of them, I would prefer the XBO for the same reason...and this is assuming a new one will output 4k for those apps and the tv pass through. Though I love new tech, i'll likely replace ALL my XBO (3) and PS4 (2) with the new ones...

                      Re: Xbox One

Pretty much nailed the reason, it's the only box hooked up to our TV now that we've gotten rid of DirecTV, though because of general performance issues we're close to just using TV apps for Netflix/Amazon Video. It controls everything, and it used in that fashion every single day (and for gaming maybe 2-3 days a week. The PS4 is used by my kids for Netflix currently.

Though frustrating of late, if the Kinect was as reliable as Amazon's Echo it would be like magic. Hoping Cortana has an outside chance of doing more than cursory Bing searches once it launches.

So yeah, because of Kinect, we wouldn't have a problem buying a newer Xbox to improve OS performance. Short of setting up a HTPC nothing will have more apps than the UWP-backed Windows 10 store in very short order, which is also important as cord cutters.

Only thing we're missing the opportunity to try with this setup is PS Vue.

We recently moved and have a lot more space in the living room, some of the dance games and Fantasia (one of my favorite games this generation) have gotten a bit more play, too.

I have two ones. As long as they run a trade incentive and the transition is easy I'll upgrade one of them.

Either Microsoft has better controlled leaks or their much earlier in the process. Not a peep out of GDC and people with serious sources unable to confirm much beyond "working on new prototypes". With so much leaking about a new PS4, you think somebody would talk if there was a more powerful Xbox One coming in the near future.

If their genuine when they say only wanting big hardware upgrades, and with no VR headset and 4K line of TVs to push, it's possible they would rather wait for AMD Vega and HBM2 in 17/18 for a substantial upgrade. Essentially, introducing a new generation at that point.

Maybe the best route is just to stick with the current box, and introduce something along the lines of an Xbox One Slim and get it down as a cheap as possible.

Super interested to see if it is a thing whether it might a "slim" redesign or some sort of new XB1....

The last day or two I have had a very difficult time with audio / video sync on One Guide. Have had issues before but nothing a hard reboot wouldn't fix.

But hard reboots have done nothing. It isn't matching up, it isn't close. I checked my recent console updates and it was just updated it says, not sure if that caused something. Any help in this would be great

We haven't gotten many reports of AV sync issues recently. Is it all channels? What cable/sat box do you have? Have you verified they aren't there if you connect directly to the TV? Do you have an AVR?
