Do you guys see the current Xbox One's dropping any further in price once the S models are released?

I think I saw them at 279. I doubt they go lower. But you never know.

I've been wanting the pull the trigger on an Xbox One for sometime now. Any chance they could be a part of the Amazon Prime sale on Tuesday?

I doubt it, the Prime Sale last year sucked IMO.

Refurbished is a lot more than 'returned because broken'. Yeah, it's not new, but I'd leave it at that.

I work in the industry and I know what refurbished is! They are Microsoft refurbished, built with all new pieces and parts. And sold in New Condition!!! Same warranty as New, Etc!!!!

When it comes to refurbished electronic goods, such as an iPod, Xbox, Playstation or camcorder, anything that isn’t “new” is considered refurbished, and must be sold as such.

Because of this, the shopper can easily save hundreds of dollars when purchasing a refurbished item versus buying a new item. In many cases, the refurbished electronic item in question is in just as good of working condition as a brand new electronic item.

But, because of certain circumstances, that item is no longer identified as new.

once you open the seal and use the item is no longer new. That is the condition

the item already was damage and MS had to fix it. When you buy a cell phone and lose it you call verizon and they charge you 200 for a replacement which is a refurbished one...Guess what when it arrives is not brand new as it was a damaged phone that samsung fixed.

Yea it would be hard for Verizon to sell that refurbished as new for 700.

You make it seem like best buy has this great deal on a new xbox for 199 when it is not brand new..It is refurbished which means it started with an issue and MS had to fix it

but that is besides the point. Refurbished PS4 and xbox ones have been around for a while and many know this. The question was if xbox one as brand new will drop more..Not many interested in buying refurbished

I personally have always stayed away from "refurbished" items regardless of what the item is. To me, refurbished means that the item was defective/damaged in some way, shape or form and was repaired. And thus, you could always get stuck with that item becoming defective/damaged a second time. No thanks.

Used means that it's currently being used and has no issues whatsoever other than the fact that it's being used unless it's noted otherwise (ex. scratches, etc.). All of our consoles are in the used area and might have blemishes or scratches on it but there's a difference between used and refurbished. Refurbished is a nicer way of saying this item was damaged and repaired which doesn't sound good at all.

To each their own but I would much rather buy used than refurbished but for the most part, I always buy consoles new. For $80 more, I personally would much rather buy a brand new Xbox One but that's just me.

"Not many interested in buying refurbished"

If it has the same warranty as new and is so much less than "new" why wouldn't many be interested?

Besides, what exactly is the argument here?

                                Prices?

                                New, not new?

                                Friggin semantics.

I'd take refurbished every time. The money saved can buy you a couple games or accessories.
