By now I'm sure many of you know if you purchase an X1X you get a free copy of PUBG from Best Buy. I purchased my console about a month ago and I was like damn I'd like a free game so I said what the hell and called the customer support line. I get a 45 day return/exchange window and spoke to the digital download department and explained to them about how their offering a free game and I'm within my exchange window.

The lady looked everything over and I received my code for the game via email about two hours later. If you bought from Best Buy within the past 45 days I'd say give it shot and call. I'm sure many of you know how to be extra polite to a CSR on the phone Here's the customer care number if anyone needs it! 1888-237-8289

Free is free! Game isn't without its flaws though but damn it sure is fun. Gamertag is Dynasty11 if anyone wants to play.

PUBG patched to try and strike a balance between performance and fidelity.

First impressions of PUBG patch for Xbox One: frame-rate is higher but texture streaming seems worse. Also poor netcode performance (plenty of teleporting/rubber-banding we didn't see last week). Input lag still sub-par. Will take a look in more depth soon.

Read your post and did the same. Told them I picked up my Xbox one x on November 9th and within 2 hours I got my code. Don’t really have too much interest in the game but like you said..free is free.

Xbox One

Deciding between the X and Pro. I might be in minority but I prefer the PS controllers because for me the XBox One controller just felt cheap.

All the buttons on the One controller seemed loose and not very responsive.

So my question is I don’t want to have to pay for an Elite Controller ($150 extra) to get a better controller, but is the X controller that comes with the system seem any better than the original One controller?

Based on what everyone has said here with the 60 FPS I’m leaning towards the X but like I said wasn’t a fan of the out of the box original One controller.

I think they are better than the day 1 controllers. I easily prefer any Xbox one controller over the dual shock though so I’m probably not the right guy to ask.

The controller with the S and the X are great. I too prefer the Xbox controller.

Two modes for The Witcher 3 on X1X.

The Xbox One X upgrade patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt introduces a number of graphical features and tweaks to the game across two visual fidelity options — 4K Mode and Performance Mode.

In 4K Mode the game will run in 4K resolution (or supersampled on a non-4K display) with stable 30fps gameplay, whereas Performance Mode enables dynamic resolution scaling (from 1080p up to 4K) while targeting 60 fps during gameplay. Both modes support HDR.

To switch between these modes you need to access Options > Display.

List of changes for Xbox One X:

• 2 new graphic modes: 4K Mode and Performance Mode
• support for 4K resolution
• HDR support
• enhanced shadows, ambient occlusion and texture filtering

The controller with the S and the X are great. I too prefer the Xbox controller.

Thanks for feedback. Are the S and X seem to be more durable than the original Xbox One. Meaning buttons don’t feel as loose.
