I did also see that lots of games are trying to avoid getting eaten by Red Dead Redemption 2, so that probably played a part in this.

Crackdown 3 delayed to 2019, put this in the E3 thread as well...trying to give them more time to save the game apparently

Speculation is that it may have more to do with releasing the game with a beta to a certain other franchise that will be ready then.

It would have been better had MS not screwed the launch, which yanked sales of consoles which ranked sales of exclusives. Ryse, Sunset Overdrive, and Quantum Break were all solid games that should be getting sequels. Instead, they languished.

Completely agree! Having an underpowered system didnt help either, that definitely became the narrative of this generation. They've been playing catch up for the last 5 years.

I don't think the power has that much to do with it. Now that the newness has worn off I'm back gaming on my Pro while the X sits silent.Other than Madden I don't use my X at all. Still waiting for Microsoft to release an exclusive game worth buying. I'm hoping this is the E3 that blows me away.

I don't think the power has that much to do with it. Now that the newness has worn off I'm back gaming on my Pro while the X sits silent.Other than Madden I don't use my X at all. Still waiting for Microsoft to release an exclusive game worth buying. I'm hoping this is the E3 that blows me away.

I disagree with you on that. It's not mentioned anymore at this point, but the 900P Narrative for every game that came out, didn't help their case. The lack of exclusives, the narrative of the weaker system, plus the pre launch issues (always connected, ect) did Microsoft no favors.

At the beginning of the generation all the talk was about how underpowered Xbox One was. That had a big blow on sales the first few years along with the dumpster fire of the reveal. It wasn't until the X was announced where talk shifted to exclusive games.

Why would you be playing games on the Pro if you have an X? Are people only playing exclusives now? I still play everything in my X unless I’m playing a Sony exclusive.

Being an Xbox only gamer this generation I'm glad that XB1X jumped PS4 in hardware specs so I dont need a PS4 for the best cross platform gaming. This fall it's all about RDR2, BF V and NBA 2K.

I saw that earlier, grabbed 2. Before I used the codes, I used the $1 for 1 month promotion on the dashboard, and when redeeming the codes, it gave a free month for turning on automatic renewal. So I'm set until Oct 2019 for $61.

Yeah, it's a big problem. I LOVE the Xbox platform, but they are getting smoked in terms of exclusive content. I expect that they will improve this, but it we probably won't see the results until the next generation.
