May have some announcements today from Gamescom, whatever project Washburn is (might be a wheel, instead of Elite Controller v2) and maybe an 'Xbox All Access'

    edit: none of the above.

I’m normally not a fan of themed controllers, but this PUBG controller announced today is very nice. Image1534895688.518052.jpg

Why do you say none of the above? Are they not announcing anything?

Just bought the Microsoft branded rechargeable battery pack for my controller. How long do they last typically?

That’s good to know. How about between charges? I’m sure that’s subjective though.

Interesting. A frw sites reporting rumors that microsoft is gonna unveil xbox all access next month, US-only for now

Xbox All Access is a way you can get a next-gen Xbox console by spreading the cost. Here's how it works.

$22/mo for 2 years ($528 total) for an xbox one S, $35/mo ($840) for an xbox one X. Includes gamepass and gold and a console. Price wise works out decent, a X would be $500 + 200 (GP) + $120 (gold) or $820 for an X, paying $20 more for microsoft to finance you is generous especially if you spend $0 on buying new games.

I more would be interested in this with a new system in the future...but it is tempting in general for a X. The minor issue is that you can usually get Gold or Pass for cheaper, so it's not amazing, but not a ripoff either.

As of now I'd probably just wait for a sale on a X in the future

If they are really announcing this I wouldn’t expect the X to go on sale any time soon unfortunately. This is probably their method of getting people who are waiting on a deal to bite.

Yeah, for the price sensitive or patient and frugal users there will always be better deals to be had than to pay $20 over msrp for these services and hardware. A $35 barrier of entry is very appealing for many I'd expect though.

I honestly can’t believe it works out to only 20 over retail.

Yeah, that's why it's not bad...usually they'd rip you off at this.

game pass would be $240 for 2 years rather than $200, actually making this $20 less than msrp. Also factor in tax for the console, thats another 25-40 in savings based on the console and state you live in.

Though the console and GP/Gold can all be found for less than msrp, it does really help those who don't have a ton of cash to throw around at once. And a lot of those games on game pass now give some pretty good options to play at no additional cost.

If it was GameStop doing this then I’d be a different story.
