Its not that multiplayer doesnt matter

What they've done is give it most of the attention while widely ignoring SP
SP always have been and always should be the main focus of games

Ignore that and all you have is a bunch of online games which is not what most people buy videogames for

Sure online is apart of the program but the way things have been, they've seemed to have made that the priority and its still not up to snuff, and it becomes a ripoff to people who just want to play the game.

Its amazing though because its just a whole bunch of selfish people who want to run up their gamer scores and cheat if possible to get it done... thats not fun

Pretty much. Id much rather have a great single player game.
I dont have all the free time to get online etc and having a great single player game I can pop in any time I get time is what I want.
So yeah online is overated for me, period.

I'll probably get one close to release and then get the other a couple years later. I'm not getting either at release if they're $600 though, $400's my limit.

Same here. Just need to decide which one when prices and specs are really known.

Pretty easy decision for me... PS4 first and foremost. Absolute no brainer there, especially considering I'll be a Vita owner as well.

After that, depending on funds, I'll probably pick up an Xbox 720 when the next Forza or Gears drops (unless Gran Turismo can REALLY step up their game).

I'll buy a PS4 first, as I've always been a bigger an of what Sony has to offer.

I may buy an xbox years from now, but even my 360 never gets played.

I'm guessing I'll catch some flak for this, but I'm hoping with the PS4 that Sony redesigns their controller. I have both the 360 and PS3 and cannot stand the PS3 controller. It feels small, the sticks don't feel good and isn't as comfortable to play. I really notice the difference when I play BF3 as I'm significantly better with the 360 controller!

I doubt you'll catch much flak, there's a lot of people who share the same opinion and it's a solid one.

I still like how the current PS3 controller is. It's something they've never changed and I hope they don't change for the PS4.

The fact that it's been their basic design for 3 generations makes me doubt it will change. I don't really blame them either for it. I doubt it would happen but multiple options would be a great change.

I am definitely not ready for a next gen console just yet ( I will be by say late next year).

The major thing I discovered this generation has been multiplayer gaming. Although I am dissatisfied with the way single player has been ignored, I find that playing with other people (especially with sports games) is just the best thing that can happen to this sector of entertainment.

However, I have 2 major concerns which Sony has done right so this generation (and I hope they will continue to do so with the Next Gen and hopefully Microsoft thinks about this):

-Free Online Gaming: I hope this continues, I don't want to pay to play online, I am already paying 60 bucks (even more sometimes) for a game, please don't start charging me to play with others.

-No Region Restriction: Ok DLC can be restricted but games should be regionally free, we should infact all have global servers.

With the money MS is making on Live (more than 12 million paying members), I fully expect Sony to charge for the next version of PSN.

Barring something drastic, I'll be going with the PS4 exclusively.

The whole having to replace my 360 about 6 times within the first 18 months thing really turned me off from any next gen MS console.

I'm funny in that way though.. For some reason, when someone sells me a piece of ****, and then is unable to fix it after the first 6 tries, I tend to take my business elsewhere.


Also, I gots to have my MLB The Show.

LMAO, I'm enjoying the Vita a lot man, now knowing netflix is coming day one too, is a nice addition.
