Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Bad price. You could build a much better one for that price. I’d recommend building one vs buying one already together honestly. Much better value and it’s not that hard.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
What's your budget? I'm sure OS can help with a setup that would work. There are also a ton of videos on youtube where you can build your own rig for a certain amount.
Plus you'll be proud that you built your own system with brand new parts.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
He said a couple pages ago that he upgraded his Alienware Alpha to an i5-4690, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB HDD. Just use these parts in a new build. That's a perfectly good CPU.
He also said this wasn't going to be his primary platform, but wanted to play games at higher settings.
Here's a compatible board and other parts that would allow that. You can pick out a different case. I added a cheaper SSD, because having your OS and drivers on one makes a massive difference.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Can anyone explain to me why EA's game platform Origin, doesn't have half of EA's games?
Where is Madden, NHL, Rory and UFC?
And they wonder why no one uses Origin.
This is like Nintendo saying alright guys we got a great platform with Switch but guess what, Mario and Smash? They're only going to be on Xbox and PC. We still going to put Zelda on Switch though we got you fam.Comment

Origin Access is as good of a deal on PC as it is on consoles, just has more general competition for that gamer because of how easy it is to get a backlog going off of Steam/Humble/GoG sales.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Origin been a wasted opportunity for years now. I only use Origin for EA games that I want to see on PC on Ultra High End settings. If the game not by EA, then I don't even turn on Origin.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Steam and Humble Bundle, etc. have way better value then Origin. Steam have a week long sale, midweek sale and weekend sale EVERY WEEK.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Still not a better value. For $30 you get access to about 75 games on Origin Access for a year...you can't even approach that with shovelware sales either of those sites.
Even discounting like FIFA 15, 16, etc and only counting FIFA one time you're still getting like 50 top end titles for a fee of $30...
Now long term, yes it's a better deal to shop sales but I'm talking "I just built a new PC and want a bunch of games now" short termLast edited by ODogg; 10-03-2017, 04:47 PM.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20
