2/10. cover the fan, add filter and fish.

@Phobia - can you share some thoughts on Squad? Have been watching some videos on it lately and started watching some streamers. Seems like Arma 3 but with all the squad structure built in rather than having to be RP'd. Seems kind of amazing, and you have a ton of hours in it. If there's a thread here I'll have to go dig it up.

I'm really thinking about building my own PC as well but man, I'm pricing stuff out and I just can't see I'd save any money from just buying a prebuilt low-end gaming PC like Microcenter here in Columbus builds for about $600-800.

In fact it looks like it'd be more expensive by a couple of hundred bucks and I'd also have no warranty for it either. I don't mind the no-warranty stuff so much if I'm saving money but if I'm not and actually paying more, that's sort of a double whammy.

I mean one aspect is the Windows 10 license for a new build. For you guys who are knowledgeable could I use a pre-existing Windows 7 key that I have or if I'm using it already on another computer will it not work?

I ask because the way I installed Windows 10 on this PC is I had Windows 7 running on it from the way it came (it came with a disc) and I just upgraded it to Windows 10.

Its really REALLY good. I like to call it the PTSD simulator, because its easily the most real "feeling" of the shooter/war games currently out. Now with that said, there is other things that need to be stated as well.

          * It's only online PvP - 35 vs 35 I believe (70 players, but I think they are shooting for 100)

          * Its a slower pacing of gameplay with huge maps

          * Communication is required and when I say "required" I mean they will kick you if you don't have a mic. It's that important, no mic and entire team will lose.

          * Steep learning curve in regard to being a squad leader, communication with other squad leads, and the strategic nature the game requires to be successful. Expect to get your *** chewed out online several times for making bad decisions which jeopardize the entire team.

          * Mortars sound amazing and will scare the living **** out of you, when suddenly you hear the rounds cutting through the air.

          * Lots of vehicle types with variety of heavy rounds

          * Variety of squad classes which all play key roles in a well diverse squad

All in all to wrap it up. Expect silky smooth first person action like Battlefield 3 with ARMA 3 style of simulation, in a PvP arena.

I love the game but can't put in huge amount of time with it on stream because its one of those games which requires lots of concentration. It's not a game you can half-*** pick up and bumble around screwing off, you must be committed to the realism.

I highly recommend it for all the ARMA fans who wanted that style but a proper PvP experience which ARMA 3 doesn't really do well.

Add this guy name Casey Holtzman. His channel was really helpful. He used to work for Newegg. Not sure if he still does. He also made me go out and buy a leaf blower to use to clean my rig out in less than five minutes. [emoji3]

Quick question. Where should I buy Windows 10 from? What price should I look to be paying? Also what is a considered a good gaming keyboard and mouse? Thanks in advance.

Kinguin.net, think I paid $30 for my license key.

Keyboard I have is Corsair Strafe RGB. I have two mice, Corsair M65 Pro and the Logitech G502. Use the Logitech the most. It's one of the most popular gaming mice.

I'm currently running the Corsair K70 and Logitech G303. LOVE the G303, I downgraded from the G502 and couldn't be happier. Naturally my K70 is amazing.

Heading into Microcenter now to start gathering for the build. The time has come. I'm sure I'll miss something.

What games are you playing? You could do better at the same price with a 1060, which is noticeably better than the 1050.

Definitely will be 1060 or might just go all out. Want it to last a while.
