Does anyone have carpal tunnel issues from gaming on the PC? Since we use our wrist for mouse and our keyboard hand is normally in a weird position, I'm guessing we are more susceptible to carpal tunnel type issues.

I've been getting the worst carpal tunnel pain in my left keyboard hand. My right mouse hand feels completely fine, but my left is facing some problems. My 4 fingers will get this burning sensation, then a pins and needle tingling will happen, and right where the wrist connects to the hand, on-top the wrist its super painful.

I've been doing some simple stretch, rotating the hands, opening and closing digits, etc to attempt some type of relief. I've also backed off the gaming sessions pretty hard, but it just doesn't seem to be going away.

Now its getting to the point that sleeping is uncomfortable since one of my hands is normally underneath a pillow or me.

If anyone has any tips or ideas on how to help treat this, let me know.
I started to get them back in my programming days, which is why I had give up program and the whole getting in the video game business. I still get them from time to time when I play a video game that requires constant movement for a long period of time.

All you can do is take breaks. Limit your sessions. It use to be a time I could game for 12 or 16 hours straight everyday. Now, after 2 hours, I got to pause, get up, walk around, shake my arms out. You can have surgery for it, but the pain doesn't go completely away. My wife had surgery on both wrists 26 years ago and she still feels the pain when she is on her PC or crotchet too long.

Your doctor might prescribe a muscle relaxer. I know my dad was prescribed that. His hand would just randomly lock up and he had zero control over it. He literally had to change his job over that.

Not sure if you use a regular keyboard or even a gaming keyboard, but the game pad is not only way more comfortable but it's just way better functionally IMO.

I use an older version of this (like 5 years older) and it's still going strong. There are tons of them out there though.

Yea I need to start some type of routine like that. I got a 1" foam keyboard wrist support yesterday to help keep everything in line for no crookedness. I'm hoping that will bring some relief, because giving up gaming is just not going to happen. I might lower my single sitting sessions but I'm surely not giving up my hobby.

I had the older version also but sold it on ebay since I just never used it. I love my Corsair k70, I'm thinking finding the right position could improve it. My mouse hand, the one which really gets all the workout has zero issues so it has to be something about the angle of my wrist on the keyboard.

This will be my first item I'll test, hopefully it will work.

Hopefully you fix it man. I cycle through using a pad under my mouse hand as sometimes my right wrist starts hurting.

Should think about another gamepad if the foam support doesn't help. Having that elevated/curved spot for your hand seems like it keeps it in a more comfortable position.

I keep my keyboard close for extra keys, as you're kind of limited with the gamepad, but I don't think I could ever go back to just a keyboard. Having everything so close plus the ergonomics and extra buttons like the d+pad and thumb have spoiled me.

Ordered all my parts the same day and have everything but the motherboard. Somehow it is two days behind. SMH.

I've been very lucky to not have any parts in either of my builds come DOA. It's one of my biggest rig related fears lol.

There's the key. I do stupid things like change what motherboard I want (but that one is only $20 more...) and end up forgetting I needed one with an M2 slot, or because of doing something like that I end up getting the last one in stock and then it doesn't work and can't be exchanged 1:1, etc. lol.

Got it built yesterday, and it actually all works. Spent most of the night updating drivers, moving our family pics/data etc. End of the night I tried to access Steam and apparently I created an account about 15 years ago and the email address I used I no longer have access to so I'm trying to recover my account. They wanted the original CD key from the game used to register it originally, which was probably Half Life, LOL. Needless to say I don't have that anymore, I may just have to create a new account.

Got my steam account back. First game I bought was Doom. Never played it on the PS4, figured it would be a great first playthrough on the PC. I'm excited!
