Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Well I was waiting for a few months to grab my other 2 ASUS monitors due to heading to Mexico in July for a week...
At least that was what was agreed to...
The wife then tells me after I got up for work this evening that they will arrive Wednesday...
Love her more every day!
So Wednesday after I get home from work that morning (and after a 4-5 hour nap), I'll be getting them mounted and it's go time.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
My new cooler came in tonight(Kraken x62). Now I have my 6700k up to 4.6ghz, running in the 40's to 50's while playing games, and silent as can be. I'm in love with it already.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Does it still make you have the high voltage though or were you able to fix the problem with the voltage ?Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
All it was was the LCC setting disabled itself and I just didn't realize it. When I started monitoring more in the stress tests I saw the Vdroop and just went back in and turned it back on. Now I'm sitting around 1.35 to get to 4.6.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Anyone ever had an issue of Steam locking up and being forced to close whenever you plug in a controller? Mine has been doing that for over a month now. I have to have the controller plugged in before I launch Steam or else it happens every single time. The strange thing is that if I plug the controller in and cause the issue, once I shut steam down and then try and start it back up again with the controller plugged in, it takes 2-3 minutes to start up. I've reinstalled the drivers for my controller(360 wired controller), but the issue still happens every single time.
Also, to avoid triple posting, I'm looking to possibly make the move up from 1080 by the end of the year. Is it time to actually go up to 4k now for the future and to get my money's worth, or is going to 1440 still a good enough jump up?Last edited by canes21; 03-24-2017, 12:33 AM.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
1440p is good enough. You going to need multiple high end GPUs to run stuff in 4K at decent frame rates for modern games. For as the xbox 360 controller, I never had a problem with mines, but then again my controller stays plugged in 24/7.Comment

Still playing Ghost Recon but I have Mass Effect on Deck(waiting for some of the animation issues to be resolved). I am pretty excited for the new mass transit expansion for Cities Skylines, Once that is released I will probably sink a couple weeks into that.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I'm mostly playing sim racing these days, but dabble in other stuff occasionally. You can hit me up if you want (see signature block).
I know there's a group playing Arma III pretty routinely as well.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Have a PC I use for streaming/video as well as gaming. Only a 750ti in it, but had a Nvidia control panel question. How is your "Power Management" set?
I had everything on max performance, but noticed it was a little too much heat and fan noise outside of games. I set it to adaptive globally and for things like Firefox and Media Player Classic. For games I left it on Max Performance in their profiles. Worried that with Adaptive set certain games might not get the full use of the card.Comment
