Got to dive into it this evening since they released a hotfix for some of their problems in the game. Honestly I LOVE the political aspect of it. Makes it challenging.

What I found with Cities Skylines and Sim City was that pretty much you were a god. The only thing that held you back was money. With Urban Empire, politics keep you in check. Not easy to do anything in this game because stuff have to be voted on and you have to win the votes. I love it. I tried to create an additional district many times, got shot down several times in voting. Got to give the people what they want, make deals and what not.

Pretty good teaching tool of how the world really works in real life. If you are the type of gamer who simply want to create things with no restrictions and 100% freedom of design, this game isn't for you. This game is DEEP, VERY DEEP strategy game. Got to plan ahead, know when to go with an iron fist, when to make deals, even when to plead.

10 out of 10 for me. It is a blast to play.

Urban Empire is a very early contender for Strategy Game of the Year. I love the fact you simply can't do what you want to do when you want to do it. If the people aren't feeling a new district or service being built, they will vote it down mighty quickly in a landslide. The politics of the game is a blast. To lose a vote is heart breaking. To win a vote by a single vote is awesome. Pretty intense feeling when see the votes being counted and they are neck and neck.

My character ended up getting married over the years. Didn't know that would be part of the game.

Best Buy have several gaming PCs under $2,000. Don't want to build your own, that is the route you should take.

I bought a gaming laptop from CyberpowerPC in 2013 and still use it when I travel. Also, their customer service was awesome when I needed to get a coil whine fixed.

I may be looking to build my own mid range gaming PC. I found this link below. Is this a good start? Anything you all would replace with something else?

Also check out sites like Cyberpower PC etc.. Same place BB gets some of theirs.
However.. Building one is extremely easy these days, but do what you're comfortable with.
              Have fun!

Here are the parts at PCPartPicker so you can see all the comparison prices and watt usage.

I would go more storage than 500GB. At least 1TB OR just add a second HDD of 500 - 1tb and use the SSD for the OS and some other programs and save the 2nd drive for just games etc..

Most of the parts I trust (EVGA, G-Skill etc...)

Don't know much about the Gigabyte MB but I do know the MSI MB I have has been great especially with the auto search and install of drivers etc..
I assume most boards do that now though.

I would pay the extra $100 and get the 6700K instead. Like Sky said, you going to need more then 500GB for games. HDD are cheap nowadays, you can get a 1TB HDD for $50. I would keep the SSD for Windows 10 and programs.

I would get a bigger case too. That air cooler I own and it is BIG. I don't think it will fit in an ITX case, it barely fits in a midtower case.

Browsing through my Steam library, I forgot I bought Ultimate General Civil War a long time ago. Pretty good game, much deeper then I thought this type of game of this time period would be. Definitely deeper then their last game, Gettysburg. They could have done a much better job explaining controls and stuff, but hey that is what Youtube videos are for I guess.

Just put in an order for an MSI 1080, uber excited. Reviews all said it was very quiet, hopefully it lives up to that but the power is obviously unquestioned.

Little late to the party here but this is a odd suggestion, they are recommending a mini ITX mobo for a regular sized build. I have that mobo and its great for its size(my PC is the size of a shoe box) but it has limitations due to its size.

I personally like the small form factor PC, that Mobo would be a decent place to start.

                            Anybody playing Rust?

Me and 2 buddy's recently started. I've got to say it's a freaking blast. Not sure I've ever played a game so intense considering so much is at stake when you're running around the world.

One of if not the most frustrating AND rewarding games I've ever played.

Played Factorio for the first time last night. Plays great on an ultrawide and it's going to be a great game for our LAN in a couple weeks.
