I played it before refunding it, found I enjoyed watching it more than playing it. Didn't have the patience.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

Just putting it out there again: looking for anybody who wants to or has thought about playing Rust, I (we) are looking for some people!

This is the ultimate group game but trusting randoms in-game is just not an option.

Not trying to start a guild or anything, but there are 3 of us who've been playing regularly and the more the merrier. Even if you've never played we'd be more than happy to show the ropes, even though we're still learning too.

The game is an absolute blast. The building is amazing, the PvP is about intense as it could possibly be. Anyway, message me if anyone is at all interested.

Is that a good game for a LAN? We all got it as part of a humble bundle that we bought for Stronghold.

That's a good question, and I'm not sure.

It's a survival/PvP game but the PvP aspect is a big part of the survival lol.

Does anyone here play H1Z1 KotK? I just bought it last week finally and am loving every second of it. It is right up my alley for a game. It takes everything I love about DayZ and creates a bit of a faster pace with more centralized action and is an adrenaline rush every single match. I see you on there some, Phobia. I've only played 3 solo matches, I finished 71st, 2nd, and 25th. I've most played duos with my buddy and we've won about 7 or 8 of our last 20 matches and finished inside the top 4 every other match. We've also recently gotten other friends into the game and last night we won a fives game as a group of 4 finally after finishing 2nd like 5 straight games.

It's turning into one of my favorites already.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

Hey all - I was getting into game development at home, and my surface pro 3 struggled a bit to run games...originally I was going to buy/build something cheap that could simply run the stuff I made (even considered the surface book with performance base for the additional GPU), but I decided to get some good hardware and get back into PC gaming at the same time (it has been 12 years or so, when I was in school.)

The GF and I play a lot of games on xbox live together (in the same house lol) - PvZ:GW2, Division, Destiny, Halo, Dead Rising, Dying Light, Astroneer, among others. So I got one put together for her as well to play together.

Astroneer is play anywhere so once she buys her own copy we can play that, but is there anything anyone could recommend that has good coop similar to those games? We shouldn't be limited by hardware at all (I have i7 7700/gtx 1070, hers is a bit cheaper but still decent... i5 4590/gtx 970)

I've had my eye on Rust for awhile, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'll let you know if I decide to pick it up the next time it goes on sale.

I've had it since first week it launched and have several hundred hours in it I'm sure. It has been easily one of my most streamed games. Is it fun? Absolutely! Is it broken? 100% broken piece of crap. You will enjoy the hell out of it, but then there will be a turn where you get tired of DEY-BREAK-GAMES screwing the game up every patch and never fixing the core issues. I've competed in every season of ranked solos & have came close to getting Royalty but this season (season 3) I refuse to play it.

I've grown so frustrated with it that I finally gave up on it & moved back to Rainbow 6 Siege & Squad.

This was my most recent win right after Season 3 started

Will be a better world when Daybreak gets bought out by someone. Need someone to pick up the EQ IP.

I never really complain about developers but they are truly one of the worst I've seen. They really need a completely team wipe & replace because the current "team" is not skilled/talented enough to handle a game this popular/large.

@cane it slipped my mind but if you enjoy H1Z1 Kotk but want a better more realistic version, then grab the ARMA 3 Player Unknown Battle Royale one. Its the original king of the kill mode before H1z1.

We've got our annual LAN this weekend and my group has suddenly fallen in love w/ Factorio. Definitely feels like a game we're going to spend a solid 24+ hours on over 4 days.

Other games we're expecting to play (we're more of a co-op group rather than PVP):

                          Rocket League
                          Carmageddon : Max Damage
                          Killing Floor 2
                          Torchlight 2
                          Insurgency
                          Mysterium
                          Evolve Stage 2
                          Endless Legend
                          Depth
                          GTA V
                          Stronghold Crusader 2

                          Games we might play:

                          Rust
                          Bob Was Hungry
                          Scrap Mechanic
                          Running With Rifles
                          Town of salem
                          Angels fall first
                          Breakaway
                          Osiris: New Dawn Lane
                          Conan Exiles

                          Other games we've talked about:

                          Company Of Heroes 2
                          Genital Jousting
                          Mount your Friends
                          Battleborn
                          Bloodsports Tv
                          Talisman: Digital Edition
                          Gremlins Inc
                          Small World II
                          Tabletop Simulator
                          JackBox Tv
                          Overcooked
                          Overwatch
                          World of Warships
                          Colt Express
                          Artemis
                          Dungeon Defenders
                          Terrorhedron
                          Worlds of Magic

                          Anyone have any suggestions?

Realized Warcraft III isn't on the list, this would be the first LAN we didn't touch it if that happens.

Oh guys, Humble Bundle has a great bundle for $30 which has The Witness, Stardew Valley, Day of the tentacle, and many more. Somewhere around 30 games, so its an excellent deal. Just a heads up if anyone is interested.

They also have total war warhammer for like $12 or $15 if you sub for one month and then cancel. Which, seeing as that game has never really dipped below $40 is pretty bonkers of a deal.

As I've been out of the country for a while I haven't been able to dig into it as much but it seems like a fantastic entry into that franchise.
