Yup, glad AMD has found something to keep it relevant for a bit. My i5 4960 is probably good until Intel's next killer chip though.

The great thing about it is, it will force Intel to make their prices more realistic and stop releasing $1,000 and $1,600 CPUs.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

Ryzen has had an effect on Intel already. Intel has dropped the price on their CPUs already. Some price changes I noticed:

        Last week 7700K was $350, now $339.
        6700K was $344, now $309
        6800K was closer to $455, now $409
        6850K was closer $630, now $579

Finally have all my stuff in room cleaned up and arranged.

Have a decent space for full room scale on VIVE. Just need to get last 2 monitors ordered.... even though the one for gaming is fine right now.
Want 3 for my flight sims so not a huge rush.

Then there's finding time to actually get more play in.

I travel quite a bit for work so I built it with that in mind. So far I love it, Its got very good airflow despite the wire situation not being great. I think for my next build a few years from now I will go back to a larger desktop but who knows what PCs will look like in 4-5 years.

I'm in for one. Trying to decide what to tell the wife. 'only $60 a month, the 980 Ti is going in your computer FYI'

Though I think I have a 5870 in the closet that's better than what she's using (a GTX 260 or something?). Might be better off giving her that and trying to sell the 980 Ti, but that takes effort. I'm sure I could get $200-300 for the thing.

Yeah I'm going to need a FTW or SC from EVGA. I have SC 1080. That thing gets loud when under load and the fan only at 70%. I tried 100% fan once, yeah that was like a jet engine. Maybe I need to get a sound dampening type of case. 70% though is tolerable.

My brother is buying 1080, so I am basically getting his 970 for free. I'm excited to see what SLI 970's can do. Anyone running or ran them before?
