Oh I am the same way, I saw on my Xbox One I have over 200 games. It's just a bit too much goodness I guess. We are blessed and at some point it can become a bit of a curse, LOLStreaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I have it but haven't played it yet, is it filled with microtransactions?
I have Grim Dawn, it's like Diablo but it cost me like $15 and I enjoy it on occasion.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Definitely don't game nearly like I used to and even then tend to stick to certain genres. I typically wait for sales.
Sports ... only thing I enjoy sports wise via Steam is Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf (TGC '19 is growing, but it never grabbed me with the swing feel). Had played a lot of GRID outside of steam, but GRID2 & Autosport don't do much for me. Bought but uninstalled.
Shooters ... I don't care for multiplayer or FPS's at all. I generally look for the sales and have yet to play most of these:
- Spec Ops: The Line (must play); you can also play Cooperative by yourself like 4 extra little mini-games as well.
Sniper Elite V2 (got into it, but put it down for a while...need to get back)
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified (highly underrated ... story is a bit confusing; details on the alien world is impressive ... fun game)
Dark Void -- meh
Alan Wake -- meh x2
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies (expanded console version)
Lost Planet 2 (played on consold, have yet to fire up here)
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zero (haven't played a MGS since original consoles; have yet to fire it up)
MGS V: The Phantom Pain (ditto)
Mad Max: got it on sale based on the reviews.
Also recently bought a licensed 3rd part Xbox wired controller and it truly was plug and play.Last edited by daflyboys; 07-23-2019, 10:28 PM.Comment

Like was mentioned before the Microtransactions are purely Cosmetic. The gameplay and skill tree with all the builds you can do is the deepest in ARPG History.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
So I am having huge issues with Windows Update and Microsoft store updates.
My Windows Update is permanently "Checking for updates" and has been for the last couple of days while my Microsoft store had like 15 or so updates that are saying "Pending" and wont download.
I thought maybe it was how much storage space I left on my PC.
Drive C has 79.9 gigs left (Where windows is installed) and Drive D has 433 gigs left.
Im really getting ****ed off trying to fix this issue.
I even tried to do the windows update troubleshoot and its just in a permanent loop of "Detecting Problems".
HELP ME.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
One thing I will suggest Candy, reinstall the OS, install all your programs you use, get all the updates, THEN make an image of the drive. If this ever happens again, reinstall your image and all you have to do is reinstall your games. It's one of the first things I do on a new OS install. It will save you a lot of headache in weird windows situations. You can fight and find solutions which more than likely will work but in half the time you could of reinstalled from the image and had your top titles re-downloading.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Also whats the best way to install drivers? Will windows do it automatically or is there a program you can use to do it. I am horrible at managing them.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
What drivers we talking about here?
Video card, most will download them automatically, you normally just choose to install.
Audio drivers are not critical to update unless your having issues.
Device drivers are kind of the same thing.
Motherboards your looking at firmware updates which you should do depending on what issues they are addressing and if your having issues. Its good to stay up-to-date but isn't going to bring your system down if your still running year 1 firmware (normally at least, Ryzen faced a lot of motherboard issues early on that firmware addressed).
There is 3rd party apps which will scan the system and determine where you are out of date but I don't find them worth while. A simple 5 min search you can generally find all the downloads you will need.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I got about 3 more hours into my ANNO game and it was a time flies thing lol
I had to get to bed but it really is a nice game.
Finally got to the point of being able to get some homes upgraded to give me more workers etc..
My little "town" is growing up.
I'll post a few pictures when I get home after work this morning.Joshua:

If other suggestions didn't work you can try:
Step 1. Stop windows update service
Go to Start – All Programs – Accessories – right click on Command Prompt and select "Run as administrator"
Type net stop wuauserv to stop windows update service.
Wait till you get : The windows update service was stopped successfully. Don't close the Command prompt window, you will need it later.
Step 2. Delete two folders
Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and delete all files in "DataStore" and "Download" folder.
Step 3. Start windows update service
In the Command prompt window, type net start wuauserv to start windows update service.
After finishing all the three steps, you can restart your computer and try to get the new Windows 10 update. You'll find the install window will complete getting updates very fast and after the window will change to Ready to install. Press install and from now on the installer won't get stuck at checking for updates and work fine.Joshua:

Yeah I remember now this is what fixed mine. I remember deleting folders or something like that and thinking "what in the world am I doing??" and hoping it didn't mess anything up LOL.If other suggestions didn't work you can try:
