I have been following this thread all day, I keep refreshing it. People claiming BB has told them over the phone and responded to emails confirming the headset comes with the console.

Just checked their site again as well and the deal is still available for preorder.

What IS interesting is that the deal is NOT in the weekly ad this morning, but the CoD console bundle dropping to $299 is. You'd think they would want this slim deal plastered all over that puppy to generate some buzz/business. Maybe they're just more worried about clearing the old inventory?

Something does feel a little... off... about the whole thing. That said, the deal has been out there too long for Best Buy to not have caught wind of it if a mistake were made. It's definitely one of the most value-filled bundles we've seen, and I'd say at this point, it's definitely real.

Again, the most intriguing uknown will be that headset come Thursday...

Glad I jumped in this thread. I'm all over that bundle, just plopped a pre order down. Talk about a deal.

And the wife will be happy, as she can use the Gold headset we currently have when we move the old PS4 upstairs.

Agreed. I don't remember saying it wasn't a good deal. But again, for Me, and My needs right now, this deal gets a meh. Don't care about whatever price Sony put on the headsets.

Like I said though you could sale the headset to someone and then it would be like you are getting a ps4 for even cheaper.

The ads are printed a few weeks in advance. The slim wasn't officially announced until last week, so they couldn't put the slim in this ad without leaking the system before Sony announced it.

That is one of the sweetest deals I've seen in a while. If I wasn't getting the pro and was in the market for another ps4, I'd be all over that deal. Wouldn't mind getting the platinum headsets for free [emoji106]

The pre-order is for Thursday so if it's a mistake, you'll definitely know it by then. What's weird is that the headset isn't shown at all. If it's in the packaging, you would think that there would be a square boxed picture of it in one of the corners on the front of the box.

Great deal and hope it stays that way for you guys. If I didn't already own a PS4 and wasn't going to buy the PRO, I would have pre-ordered yesterday but it makes no sense for me to do so.

Definitely a superb deal for someone who's a spender and is currently without a console. *wink wink*

EDIT: Wait a minute.....going by the pictures, this deal is for the Slim model??? If so, doesn't the headset use the Optical Port or am I way off here??? If so, that's definitely weird.

So piggybacking off of my prior post about jumping on that Best Buy deal, I had a question about running two PS4s in the house. I had planned on moving the old PS4 upstairs and putting the new Slim downstairs. I know I can keep them both running off of my PSN login, but does it matter which one is set to be the primary console? And will we both be able to play games at the same time while logged in on both machines? Say for instance I wanted to play some Destiny downstairs and the wife wanted to play Uncharted upstairs. Is that possible with both of us logged into the same account?

I noticed that about the photo and the headset. I didn't think about the optical port but you make a good point. I think that is true about the optical port.

I don't use headsets of any kind and never looked into any of them. You guys know better than I do when it comes to all the technical stuff and headsets, online gaming, etc. so that's why I asked.

If anything, I would bet on it going down to $100 by then, actually. They're already promoting the $125 as some kind of a great deal when trading it for one of the new PS4s. Getting $200 always seemed unlikely to me, and now that we know that that would mean getting the PS4 Pro for basically half price, I'd say it's impossible. Trade-in value for the PS4 went from $375 in 2014, to $250 in 2015 and now $125 in 2016.

Solid theory, but I think it'll go up in Nov.

I guess we'll see come Nov.
