GT 2 is my favorite of the series. And really not even close. The joy I remember from getting that game and then playing it for hours and hours.

It was my favorite also. Growing up, my brother and I would spend our Summer's just playing this and some of the endurance races.

$100 is pretty tempting once things slow down a little now that it's available on PC. A lot of the back catalog I haven't played.

What is the best Gran Turismo game of all time? The first one? When did the series start going downhill?

My favorite was GT2 and I liked them all up until GT4. When 5 came out it was terrible and just went downhill from there. GT4 was pushing it IMO.

what do you guys think is the best headset for the playstation 4?

Astro a50s is what I have and they are awesome. If you don't want yo spend that much though the Sony Golds are great (I also own those)

It's tough to ignore the fact that Forza manages to pump out one of two quality racing titles every two years and GT has trouble launching a game within two years of a projected release date.

The series has fallen behind in just about every way that one can; graphics, audio, presentation, modes, cars, accessibility... it's a mess. The developers need fresh blood and fresh perspectives. IMO there should be some massive turnover in staff and the series should be completely scrapped and started anew.

This is my main issue with Gran Turismo. Forza has blown them out of the water the past 5 years and Gran Turismo has basically nothing to show for it.

They need to completely revamp the whole model they have and the next one needs damage, weather, immersion, etc.

If I wanted to look at cars and see how nice they looked I'd just go to a dealer or look at a calendar.

People are speculating around the event September 7th.

It is really awesome. Some great features, and the little refinements to the look on some things go a long way. Super fast and snappier as well.

I assume again, around the announcement or shortly after, since it includes the 'Transfer from one PS4 to another PS4' via ethernet option, like they did around the time of the PS3 slim.

PS4 Slim review reveals size and specs, states it's 'thinner, quieter and cooler'

The PS4 Slim’s dimensions come in at 264 x 39 x 288mm, which is a considerable drop in size compared to the 275 x 53 x 305mm size of the standard model. It cuts around a third of the console’s height off, and solid few centimeters off it on each of the surrounding edges, which is nice for cramped entertainment centres.

Alongside the Slim, a new, redesigned DualShock 4 comes included in the package. The most obvious and highly touted difference with this new controller model is that there is a strip of light at the top of the touch pad which allows the colour of the light bar to be seen during normal play (without having to point the back of the controller at your face). This thin light-strip is minor enough to not be distracting, but visible enough to make all those games that feature light-bar colour changes to denote things like health actually able to feasibly make use of the feature.

What is perhaps more interesting about the new controller model is that, when connected to a PS4 Slim or a regular model PS4, it transfers data entirely over wired connection rather than wireless. While this may seem minor, this allows a more frame-precise reaction time than wireless play, which will be incredibly useful for games like Street Fighter V. It’s a minor difference, but it’s a slightly tighter response which may make a difference to some players.

The D-Pad also feels a little different, sloping down in the centre to give a central dip to rest your finger in a way that makes rolling between directions more comfortable.

The console now features a fully matte finish, which to me feels much nicer than the original glossy panel, and a redesigned, more curved look. While I am a fan of the curved design, many online have taken an instant dislike for aesthetic reasons. Honestly, once I had the unit in my hands I never stopped to think about the new curved look, I just think it looks nice.

Man that is much thinner/smaller overall. Looks much better being shown in the video as well. Very sleek in my opinion. Digging the Audi-esque LED look on the Power Button.

I hope the Neo has a matte finish as well. Physical buttons over touch buttons are always a plus to me. The light on the touchpad is a little weird.
