The non accidental is $54 and the accidental is $80 on SquareTrade's site. A little higher, but better than Best Buys for sure.

How do I add the warranty on my Amazon preorder? I wasn't given the option when I first preordered launch edition.

I am wondering this also considering what happened with the first xbox 360's I'm going to get this extra warranty.

I am wondering this also considering what happened with the first xbox 360's I'm going to get this extra warranty.

I explained this a few pages back. Wait until your order has shipped and you get the PS4. Go to amazon.com, type in SquareTrade warrenty, find the one you want, purchase, it will email you instructions on how to activate it.

You have 30 days after your order ships to order it.

Your order HAS to be from Amazon to USE squaretrade on Amazon.

Its $55 for 3 years on Accidental Damage (Dropping, etc..) from Amazon.

If i recall when reading the details, the square trade bought through Amazon only covers items purchased through Amazon. I believe you have to go to square trades website to get protection plans when purchased from other sources.

I guess I'm confused why this even matters?

If you go through the square trade site, you select which vendor you are purchasing your console from.

If someone selects Amazon and bought it from Best Buy...I mean, I would call that person dumb.

That's why I'm saying it doesn't matter where you buy the console. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question.

Because, we are not talking about buying it through their website. We are saying buying it through amazon.com

Go to the link, read the policies, it describes how if you buy the protection on amazon, it has to be an amazon product. Totally different than going on their website and going that route.

It is cheaper on amazon, it includes accidental damage, on their site, it is like $20 more.

Well after several calls to Amazon in regards to the $24 tax that was applied to my account when my original price didn't include tax I was credited $30 coupon on any future purchase. Someone is getting another Launch Day title

Squaretrade also has 30% off coupons all the time, i get emails from them for these deals at least twice a month. I used one to get coverage for my Vita for something like $30 for four years which also covers accidents, drops and water damage. I think this was at least $50 cheaper than Sony's option for two years extended and accident protection. Absolutely worth it for electronic devices such as these, especially on consoles that will likely have issues for the early adopters.

A couple of my friends criticized me when i got the circuit city extended warranty for the 360 when it came out, but when mine eventually red ringed almost three years later (just before the warranty expired), I was able to walk in the store, get a full refund (on a gift card) for the amount I originally paid and purchase a new console (I used it on one of the newer model 360s that had an even larger HD and a game, because the prices had dropped by then). That was pretty awesome. I liked their warranty policy because it was a refund in gift cards instead of a replacement, so I could have spent it on anything else in the store. RIP Circuit City.
