Type in square trade warranty into search engine on amazon. After you buy the console, purchase the protection you want. They will email you the warranty and you follow instructions to register your PS4.

You have 30 days after your purchase to get it.

Actually, in the case of preordered items, you have 30 days from ship date to purchase it.

Wondering the same thing. I have the PS3 version of Madden, want to upgrade it. Gamestop guy said something about you sending the PS3 version into EA and they in turn give you a gift certificate or something. He may have been talking out the side of his head.

I think it depends on the game.

If it's COD/AC/BF, it should come with a code that you can use to get the PS4 digital version for $10. Then you need to have the PS3 version of the game in your console to play it. (link)

For other games, individual retailers seem to have their own deals. I know for the 360/XB1 Best Buy and MS Store have deals where you can trade in your 360 version and get the XB1 version for only $10 more, but you have to have bought the original game from them. Amazon has a similar trade in program w/o the restrictions.

Here's what EA says for Madden on PS3/PS4.. Seems like the only deal is you get $45 for the PS3 version at BestBuy, so you basically wind up paying $15 for the upgrade, but maybe there's other deals around.

I wonder if digital purchases will be different. I have FIFA 14 digitally, can I just pay the 10 fee and "unlock" the next gen version?

I suppose game purchases will still be credited to your PSN account.

I don't think FIFA is one of the titles that will work with. I tried asking Gamestop if there was a physical copy trade up and they said no, only on XBone.

Guessing the EA sports MS deal has something to do with the Microsoft trade program.

If i recall when reading the details, the square trade bought through Amazon only covers items purchased through Amazon. I believe you have to go to square trades website to get protection plans when purchased from other sources.

So with WatchDogs biting it, my new lineup is NBA 2k14, Battlefield 4, and FIFA 14. Still, I can't see myself playing too much when GTA is just so much fun.

Sony is only 1 year.

I would think the system comes with a 1 year correct so instead of it being covered for 3 years you get to in Total by going with Sony correct?? Thanks in advance for the help

You get a 1 year from sony for hardware failures. During that first year the square trade will cover any drop or spill damage not covered by Sony. After the first year square trade will pick up where the sony warranty stops as far as hardware failures are concerned in addition to drop and spill damage.

Big thing with Squaretrade is they have a 5 day repair guarantee once they receive your item. Typically if they cannot fix it within that time frame, they will cut you a check for item cost. Free shipping as well.

That is what I said. Your purchase date would be the day you paid for it. Amazon doesn't charge until it ships.

Actually... If you buy the warranty off of amazon, the item MUST be from amazon. Says so in the policy.
