I have always been a Sony first guy, but after hearing Microsoft's arrogance towards keeping their gaming crowd and not showing games because they will buy the system anyway I was definitely set on the PS4.

I like to keep my options open, but Microsoft is turning a lot of the serious customers away. Hopefully E3 will clear everything up for both systems.

Except they really weren't if you're referring to the article I think you're referring to.

It wasn't just that article. I am sure I'm not the only one that can't take the new Microsoft console seriously. I own both a 360 and PS3, and I owned an Xbox and a PS2. However, it would take a HUGE E3 from Microsoft to sway the gamers away from PS4.

As a real gamer, I love having two great consoles on the market. It's like wrestling in the 90s haha.

As long as both systems play games, which they do, then I'm fine.

All the extras that the systems have I really don't care much about but it's there for those that want it.

Just wish I didn't have to work during E3 but I can catch replays. E3 will decide a lot but not as much as price.
Leaning PS4 at the moment and just hope "The Price Is Right"

To be honest I still don't sense arrogance in what they've stated. Incompetence, yes. I would say the comment about "killing Sony at E3" was the one thing you could make a case for. Your feelings about the system itself are warranted, but citing a really ****ty article for them being arrogant towards gamers going to buy it anyway is really misguided.

I'm not mad at (nor disagree with) anything you said, but about really terrible journalism and spin that many believe because it fits the narrative they want. Meanwhile, the site that posts it is just loving all the site views.

It's from the company itself. They made Windows 8 and said that's what we should like, even though it's a pile of crap. They made all these changes with the XBone and are telling us that we should like it. It's just their attitude about everything given their position in the industries. "We're Microsoft, and we know better than you."

As I said, his critiques are valid, except for the use of that phrase. I'm not talking about Windows 8, and though I disagree with the your stance on them telling you to like it (for the most part), I'm not talking about that either. I'm just talking about the words that were used and the manner in which they were used by him and the article I'm referring to.

Now, I know that one or possibly two things are going to happen here: The first will happen in that we aren't in the proper place for this discussion so we can move this discourse along elsewhere, or be done with it. The other I will just wait and see if it happens.

I did reference that article as just an example. Ubernoob pretty much summed up how I feel about Microsoft right now, and gave better examples than I did.

I'm rooting for both systems to succeed as a guy that loves gaming. Just with everything I've seen so far PS4 is the way to go for the best gaming experience. I can't wait for E3 to get here and all of the speculation can end.

Looks like I'm on ps4 train as well. For awhile the rumored $300 price tag with a 2 year subscription to Xbox live had got me. I can live without call of duty for a year after the debalicle that was blops 2. MLB the show and madden will pretty much make me forget about that.

How would you have to live without call of duty? It's not like CoD is console exclusive. The only thing Xbox gets is DLC earlier at first. PS4 still gets the game the same day.

As of right now CoD runs much better on xbox than Ps3, but I doubt there will be much of a difference on next gen consoles, but even if it was. Is CoD really a breaking point in choosing a console? Im a xbox user but I could care less if PS4 got the DLC 1st, im done with CoD
