Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I haven't played in forever but since it is transferring over to PS4 with characters and all, I'm gonna jump back into it early on.
The other one that I'm willing to wait on for the eventual move to PS4 is EQ Next. I'm all over that once SOE makes it available for PS4 (hopefully), whether it's a pay to play or F2P doesn't matter. If it releases I'm getting it.
PS2 and Blacklight Retribution I can really care less about, but if they are free I'll obviously give them a shot as well.Comment

Went through quite a few 360's so I'm not quite sure but I could've sworn I did it twice.Comment

I.E. in GTA, you're spending a lot of time idling around without much story interaction, I'd play my music than when a cutscene kicked in, it'd mute it.
Not a huge deal (wouldn't sway my personal console buying decision in either direction), but it would be nice.Bulls|Bears|Cubs| Blackhawks|Huskies|Horned Frogs|

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Got a refurb 360 from GameStop once that was missing the entire power button part. You take the faceplate off and it was just the metal casing showing. They forgot to plug the board in. Believe its called a rf board. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

PS4's Gameplay Capture not Limited to 15 minutes
Rumours indicate that the PS4's gameplay capture feature will be unlimited.
It has previously been suggested that the PS4's gameplay capture feature will be limited to 15 minutes.
However, according to an anonymous commenter on Kotaku, writing under the alias Dagson, that will not be the case.
"It's actually NOT capped at 15 minutes," states Dagson. "The 15 minute thing is that before you even hit record, the PS4 keeps the last 15 minutes of gameplay recorded in case you do something unexpected."
According to the commenter, "while actively recording/streaming, you're virtually unlimited."
Allegedly, "the PS4 allows you to upload the videos to your PSN profile, or save them to the hard drive where they can be exported and brought into something like Premiere or Final Cut. You aren't limited to the included editing software or anything."
When asked how they was able to come by this knowledge, Dagson stated that they were unable to say, but that "we are a studio with two unannounced multi-platform next-gen titles in development."
Shuhei Yoshida on PS4 Unboxing, PSN Name Changes, Day 1 Perks, No Sticker, No PS Vita Streaming on PS4
Earlier today, Shuhei Yoshida took care of some very serious business on his Twitter account, clearing up all questions people had about the PS4's game streaming and recording features being behind the PlayStation Plus paywall.
Well, it’s clear that he doesn’t want to be serious all the time, having a little fun on his Twitter account throughout the day, while also confirming some more news about the PS4.
First up, with the announcement of PlayStation All-Stars Island (info on that to come via The Catch-Up later today) for iOS and Android, an exchange Shuhei had with Wario64 was brought up:
So, with Uncharted now on iPhone, someone said, “iOS/Android now a #PSVita because it has Uncharted according to @yosp,” with Shuhei jokingly saying, “Oh, yeah!”
Moving onto the PS4, Yoshida was asked if there’s a day one perk or anything with the new system. His reply was, “You’ll get bragging rights,” once again showing he was having fun, but it does seem to imply that there won’t be any day one perks included with the PS4 (which wasn’t expected anyways) – conversely the Xbox One has a ‘Day One’ edition with ‘Day One’ on the controller.
As well, Yoshida wasn't able to confirm if we’d be seeing PS4 exclusive games at gamescom (there probably will be though). He also said that it “depends on [the] game” regarding whether PS3 users can play with PS4 users in the same game lobby on online titles.
Poking fun at the Xbox One and the fact that it includes a sticker in the box, Shuhei said, “Every PS4 will come with a Sony logo on it” and “that’s exclusive to PlayStation.” Then, addressing whether he might do a PS4 unboxing, he replied, “I think people will want to experience it themselves .”
One feature that people have been very vocal about is being able to change their PSN name on PS4. Shuhei answered back to one of the people asking about it by saying, “That’s people’s favorite question that I do not answer .” Obviously this isn’t the reply everyone’s looking for, but he didn’t outright shut it down, so there’s at least that.
A couple other tidbits show that the PS4 won't come with an ethernet cable, and you won't be able to stream PS Vita games on the PS4.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Me and could buddies were talking about this yesterday.
Disclaimer: We all favor the current 360 but have all decided to go PS4 because they catering more to the gamer crowd.
The topic was will MS fall to second place this generation.
I said MS should win North America, but will almost certain lose in world sales. So NA becomes a big swing position if they keep it close or if they get demolished.
One of my buddies said, "They honestly could lose NA, think about the release date on these machines. Right around Xmas time, parents are going to be buying their kids consoles as gifts. Which one swings more heavy with parents??? PS4 being 100 dollars cheaper and offering the same product as X1 could potentially swing a lot of sales this holiday season."
Now I agree he has a point and most parents will view them "as the same product". They won't know the differences between the two, to them they all play games.
I still believe over the 5 year haul X1 will win NA and Sony will take the rest of the world.
It will be a very interesting console war that is for sure!!!Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Its a tough analysis. On one hand, most parents will see the price and ask why they should by the more expensive console. On the other hand, most parents just buy what their kids want. If they say "I want an Xbox One for Christmas", some parents wont even look to see if there are other options.
Lots of parents are dumb. Look at all the shovelware Wii games that made money because people didn't know what quality was, they'd just see the box and buy the game.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
