It's still in beta stage right now

I don't know, but that screen shot doesn't do much for me. Not sure what I expected, but I know I expected something better than this. We are still a few months away from release day, so they have time to make changes.

Remember this is only the pre-ALPHA build. You can't make judgements yet. The dev already said there will be a day one patch which will fix the shot clock glitch. Some of you guys expect the world. SMH.

I thought I was a nerd, but I can't even make it through part of any article regarding the system specs. Its not that I don't care about the console, I just don't understand all of it and I really don't even want to. I just want the damn console.

Where I live (currently house hunting so I can rent out my home) Verizon doesn't offer FiOS.

I felt that I needed to preface my question with that tidbit of info.

I currently have a package deal where I pay one lump sum for my DirecTV & Verizon internet but the best internet I can get is on a copper wire with DSL (1.5 Mbps) and thats with the "high speed internet" upgrade I pay.

I've been seriously thinking about switching to Time Warner Cable to get better speeds.

My question is two fold...

First: Am I going to need a better connection to play online on my PS4 & Xbox One?

Second: I called Time Warner and I can select different packages that go 20, 30, or 50 Mbps but it would be through a coaxial cable unfortunately (cable modem), so would you guys (my trusted OS brethren) reccomend I make the switch?

Sorry for throwing this in here but I didn't know where else to ask this and yes this is definitely PS4 related because I'm only considering this change for my inevitable switch to PS4 gaming online!

I have had Brighthouse aka Time Warner and I currently have Fios. To be honest nothing compares to Fios. However if you can get 20 to 50 mbps I would say it would be worth the money. You might not get the absolute most out of your speed as you would Fios, but it will come close enough. I would say go with Time Warner if that is the only option to get the speeds. Yes that is plenty enough for gaming and downloading. The connection will be just fine.

Firstly, thank you for the quick response.

I appreciate your input (not being sarcastic btw, I really do) and think I'm going to make the switch but I definitely want to hear a few other OSers opinions as well.

I guess the only bad thing is Time Warner is in some money battle with CBS and they currently don't have that channel in their lineup out here (I'm sure it'll conclude eventually) and I definitely don't want to miss out on any NFL CBS network games.

I understand and that is no problem. By the way I know of a website you can watch high quality sports stuff and some other main stream stuff on TV. So you don't miss any NFL, MLB, NBA or NHL games. They even show WWE and UFC PPV's. It's 30 dollars for 3 months. I have been using it for years so it's safe. ... So if you want to save money and just pay for internet that is a good route to go. But yes currently they don't have much as far as the channel front, but nothing the internet can't make up for.

Wow I can't wait to see Madden and Live!!!

Except for the better visuals, the atmosphere and the stadium presentation it seems like the same as the current-gen version, hope that's not the case with the rest of the sports games that release this year.

So in just a small video people can make a determination that it's the same gameplay/AI as current gen?

Not saying it isn't but rather I have no idea how you can tell from a single short video/trailer.

I didn't make that opinion just based from that trailer, there are some other videos with gameplay that prove that. It's a good game (maybe a very good one) but it's quite generic in some way, it lack personality from the way teams and players play and differentiate from others; maybe many people won't notice that (or don't even care) but people who follow closely the sport realize that.
