and not even close to fraud. Why?... for me I never ever said I bought the item there.

Example was a box of Bridgestone Golf Balls. I had a box of orange ones that was bought at DSG and I took them to Wal-Mart later to get white (SG was currently out of white). Took to customer service and asked if I could swap them for white ones.
They scanned the box and said yes go get the box you want.

I never said I bought them there.
What they do however is take your DL # and you're limited to 2 returns without a receipt a month I believe.
Either way it's their policy and if they are hurting over it (Highly unlikely) they should change it.

You're right, technically it can't be constituted as fraud. However if they really wanted too, they could label it as a form of theft. Now they'd be hard pressed to get a conviction as they took the return. But there is a noticeable legality issue in this form of transaction. With that said, I think there's a pretty large difference between what you did with the Golf Balls and what the other poster was doing with their Video Game. That difference being, you're in essence replacing a product of the same value. While they may be losing $30 worth of product, they're replacing it with $30 worth of product they can sell later. Wal-Mart therefore doesn't take a loss on your transaction. However with the other user's product, he's trading in a marked down product for full product value at a separate location. At the end of the day he's "for lack of a better term", stealing $20-$30 from Wal-Mart. Either way, I'd say returning a product of lesser value for full value is largely unethical.

Edit: besides I'm sure some of you that call this wrong download torrents which make people lose out on money as well.

Just finished paying off my Amazon PS4 preorder with a bunch of Amazon gift cards made out to myself . Now I need to just wait for 11/15/13. Glad that GTA V and Killzone Mercenary are coming out soon which should help pass the time.

Seems like the odds would be good for that to happen. I also could see it becoming the one game to get a price drop. Either way I'm going to hold off.

Yep, along with the bad economy in EU which amazingly is worse than ours. We also have the add on mentality for sales over here as that is where a lot of profits come from for companies, so no surprise we will not get the bundles till later on. Personally I am glad Sony is not forcing us to buy the camera with the console itself.
