Thanks! I have heard great things about gaming monitors. Looking into an ASUS one.

I use a benq as well, think it is xl2720z

Love it. As soon as I tried my ps4 on it I never went back to my 1080p Samsung tv.

I used my ps3 daily for netflix and the occasional game in my room. I just recently picked up walking dead season 2 and was going to play through season 1 and 2. Unfortunately for me, my og fat 60gb ps3 got the ylod. I still had a ton of games to play through too. I'm not sure what to do with the ps3 now.

I can't personally game on gaming monitors because I tried them and nothing comes close to plasmas as far as pure picture quality, but that's just me. If you're going to game on a gaming monitor make sure you get a good one that's IPS. The non IPS LCD/led tend to look cheap, have bad viewing angles and tend to be difficult to get color accuracy with them as far as calibrating them.

                        PS4 update!!!

Wow.....this has been some experience. So after work I get home and my replacement console was in my den and I took my kid to baseball practice. After we come home and do the ALS ice bucket challenge we proceed to the den to hook up the console and enjoy PSN and get ready for the PS4 gen.

SAME ISSUE AGAIN. It kept timing out on a DNS error message. Yet my PS3, Macbook-Pro, I-Pad's, I-Phones etc are all connected and running.

It can't be defective consoles. So I call Xfinity first. Clueless...no help. I call Sony again get a nice guy and Not 2 in a row!!! We go through the reboot of the router etc....NADA. He is at a loss as well.

So I go to bed....tired, angry, depressed. I keep saying to myself...something is amiss, there is a hole I am not filling. I have a dream...yes a freaking dream last night about getting connected and all is well in the world.

I wake up at 6AM sharp, start the coffee pot and hit my Mac. It struck me like a bolt of lighting. 4 weeks ago I upgraded my Xfinity router. It was a free upgrade that Comcast told me about via a letter in the mail and I went to my account online and they shipped the new faster and far better router.

Well I said to myself it has to be something that is not compatible with the PS4!!!! Has to be something inside.

I search U-Tube and type in "can't connect to PSN Network with PS4 using Xfinity internet"

A video showed up and I clicked on it. He said I just upgraded my Xfinity router yada yada and now I can't connect. After hours and hours I found the solution. He showed how he did it.

                        PORT FORWARDING.

So the video showed me that I needed to go into my Admin tool for my router what how to forward ports and set it up etc.

                        IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am on PSN and activated my PS4 and all is great in the world. I will attach the link to that video when I get home from work tonight. I am certain other Xfinity Comcast internet users who get this new router upgrade will not be able to initially connect to PSN with their PS4;s without doing this exercise.

I will also make Sony aware of this issue ASAP so their tech's can guide people to the solution.

Amazing how I stumbled on to this. I was determined and it paid off. Thank god for U-Tube...truly a godsend.

                                Rant over.
Thank you...I am going to wait for your link....I am also Xfinity client and about to receive the new modem/router.
