Isn't it that you can unlock everything in a free to play style grind, or you can buy the retail and have everything unlocked from the beginning?

From what I understand it's more of a "Demo" than a true F2P.

You'll get the entire game, but you'll be limited on cars and tracks until you buy either the retail disc or digital unlock code. No F2P grind, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, that's how it works, I just mistook all the different things said about it between the different versions, mictrotransactions, etc.

What's going on with these PS4 controllers? I keep reading about the thumb sticks ripping?

I have 3 original PS3 controllers and no problems ever. What's up?

Probably just the design - the outer ring of the stick is raised just a little over the center and that might lend itself to tearing more easily.

No problems with mine yet (knock on wood).

Think it was the initial design at launch as I hear newer ones have a much harder surface to them. Both mine tore and I am not rough on controllers at all. Glad they did as I added the Geltabz to both and like the feel much better now. Just waiting for my Squidgrips to arrive now.

If that's the case they need to change the design. I am an old sucker and by nature resistant to change but what was wrong with the PS3 controller?

Honestly, if they went back to those sticks it wouldn't break my heart.

as a long time xbox guy, I do find the sticks to be a little lower, but it's not really an issue, to me they are shorter, which is a bigger one for me to overcome and I might for the first time invest in those extension things, at least for the right stick since I find it to be a little too much 'all or none'

A lot. A convex surface on the sticks made your thumbs slip off. The triggers had the same problem.

The concave surfaces of the PS4 controller are a big improvement. Looks like they just needed to make a slight adjustment on the material used to cover the sticks.

Agreed. I wasn't a big fan of the PS3 controllers, but it feels great this gen. I'm sure they'll figure something out.

My pack of GripIt just came in today. The tearing started on one of mine so instead of spending the money on postage sending them to Sony I figured I'd spend it on pads instead. They've got much more grip now too so it's a win win.

Never had a problem with the previous gen controllers. If you like the new ones great but they screwed something up if you have to slap something on the joysticks so they don't rip.

Has anyone on here replaced their sticks with Xbox One sticks? My friend did it and said it feels great. I'm considering it.
