Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Thanks. How long have you had your Seagate 2tb installed on your PS4, and are you plenty active with your system?
Just to cover all bases, when one does replace the original PS4 500gb harddrive with the new Seagate 2TB (or other), for whatever reason is it possible to remove the 2TB and plug the original 500gb and get the PS4 back up in running in seconds without having to do any system updates, etc.?
... asking ... if one messes up the new 2TB harddrive (i.e. didn't update correctly, didn't do this correctly, etc...) or even if the 2TB install was successful, I'm assuming that both scenarios would work if I wanted to put the 500gb back into the PS4?? ...
I actually added the Seagate to my amazon shopping cart, just need to decide if I want to go with the Seagate or find a 2.5" WD. I'll see what Newegg customers have to say. If this Seagate drive is in fact the gold standard for the PS4 upgrade, I might go with it...
Youtubing and found this, interesting, 3tb, 4tb, 6tb external harddrive connected via SATA cable

Detour: Found this interesting tidbit browsing youtube. You guys/gals may already know about this (simply Picture in Picture option on your tv), but for those that don't/didn't like me, this was pretty cool (to be able to play your PS4, video game consoles and watch TV simultaneously). Great for when commercials come on, or simply have background tv noise.
I'm guessing this would also be great for playing two consoles simultaneously on a single TV...

I've been using the drive for a few months now.
Yeah, if something goes wrong you can put the old drive back in.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'd say it's worth it. For the price, I don't see what the downside is. A lot of people on this site went through Squaretrade for their warranty, but I haven't really heard any negatives about Sony's customer service. I figured I'd rather go to the source if my console craps out. Probably couldn't go wrong either way.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I already have that game and yes it is a cool game and looks good but it doesn't blow me away. I still need to beat the game. I already have a ps4 like I said but still I am just wondering when dose everyone think we will get are first ps4 that either has a bigger hard drive or that is a slim? I think it will be a long time before the slim but I think we could maybe see a 1TB hard drive next year.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I had no idea about the watching TV thing but when I am playing a game I am not thinking about what is on tv lol. Really outside of sports witch I watch a lot and I mean a lot of I don't watch much tv. I think cartoons and sitcoms are way worse then they used to be and to many realite shows now days. Like 90% of the time I am watching tv it is sports.
About the hard dive thing how much do those things cost? I don't need a new hard drive yet has I have 6 games on ps4 so far and I have around 220 GB left but I am getting drive club next week so that should get me to less then 200. Besides drive club and NBA 2K15 witch is just replacing NBA 2K14 so it wont take up any more space. I don't think there is really any thing else I want for ps4 in till maybe Mlb 15 the show witch would be replacing 14 and then Batman arkham knight but that is not in till june so I don't think I will need a new hard drive for like a year maybe more.
These hard drive will probably run anywhere from $100 to $150 dollars.
Honestly, I probably don't even need to upgrade my hard drive considering all I really play are sports game and really nothing else. I do NOT play Destiny, Batman, Infamous, Little Big Planet, etc. Other than NBA2k, MLB the Show, PES soccer, possibly a wrestling game, and may be a driving game, I'm really looking forward to getting both Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, and that's about it. The existing original 500gb might be more than enough, but I do want to get something a little bit more future proof -- I might want to keep all the digital sports games that I buy rather than erase any of them. With each sports iteration that'll add approximately 50gb per game.
However, with more harddrive space, that might be an incentive to try out games such as Tomb Raider, Uncharted, The Last of Us, etc.
The Seagate 2TB recommended by sbauer318 is currently $99.99 either down at Amazon or Best Buys. Because one needs to remove the hard drive from the enclosure, it'll void Seagate's warranty. I actually placed a Best Buy in store pickup tonight along with a USB flashdrive (to download Sony PS4 update file). Will probably pick it up tomorrow, and get the process rolling. There is a chance that I might look into doing an external harddrive/SATA attachment that will allow for more than 2TB storage.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=operasport-20
In the XB1 thread, kwebbvols also is looking at the Seagate 2TB one, but the one he has linked looks to be a hard drive with no enclosure for a few dollars more. Because it's already out in the "open," I'm assuming Seagate's warranty will still be valid. Based on amazon's comment section (1st review) it's also the same one that sbauer318 recommended.
If I were to eventually get an XB1, I would actually go with an external 3TB WD My Book. It's around $100 dollars on sale. Using a true external harddrive along with a SATA cable attached to the PS4 is also another method that would allow for 3TB, 4TB, 5TB and 6TB storage according to the youtube video link in my previous post.
Currently, I think internal harddrive replacement for the PS4 is capped at 2TB (physical hardware size restriction/limitation; unless I'm mistaken) whereas external harddrive replacement (using SATA cable) for the PS4 looks to be unlimited.
There are many options but here is what I am going with:

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Besides sports, there are still some entertaining TV programs, such as Criminal Minds, The Good Wife, Person of Interest, Chicago PD, Nashville, Once Upon a Time, Law and Order, etc. Sitcoms certainly are no where near what they use to be, but I still enjoy some of them especially The Big Bang Theory.
These hard drive will probably run anywhere from $100 to $150 dollars.

I have been injoying sleepy hollow and I started watch the new gathom show. I don't know what to think about that one. I like Americans got talent but man this year sucked not much talent at all compared to other years. I still watch stuff like full house. Shows like full house, fresh price, home imporvment are so much better then todays. 90's had so many good sitcoms.
You are really missing out on batman and with the way the hard drive fills up on ps4 has ever game has to be installed it probly only takes 10-12 games for the hard drive to fell up and that is with out DLC. On ps4 I have like 40 games or something like that not countying different years of sports games and I like to go back and play games I haven't played for a while some times so I don't want to have to delect any thing. I have only looked at hard drives that are in the system not external hard drives so I didn't know how much those would cost. I thought external hard drives didn't even work with ps4. I have seen 2TB hard drives for around 75-100 but I didn't know if external would be more or how that would work.
While I am not going to get an Xbox 1 I hate mircosft they don't make even one single game I care for ever and I think wii u is a great second system this gen behind ps4. I was wondering how much it would cost for that 3tb, 4tb, 5tb type thing in the video? Yeah 2TB is the biggest hard drive I have seen to that is not external but maybe in a year or so when I need a bigger hard drive they will have a 3TB hard drive that works with ps4. I don't think I would need a 4TB but you never know lolComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'd like to say hold off since I'm Madden more than I have since the PS2 days, but you all know how the thirst goes for 2K.
My main thing with these going to next gen is will my progress carry over from PS3? If so, then I can go ahead and put her on eBay. If not, I'll keep her for an extra BluRay player and TellTale fix.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

I'm not sure I could justify spending that much to get the game a couple days early.
Jeremy, did you see the details on the Online League?

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
As soon as they get online up to par with Madden (with fully functioning multiple seasons, sliders, plus commish tools, etc). then I'll start playing it online. Until then I'll keep my talents offline... which with the MyLeague and MyGm stuff looks really awesome this year.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Gonna have to take my Wiz to your Pelicans, though.
Everything else looks solid this year. MyPark and MyPlayer might actually get some legit play-time from me this year.
