New to the PS4, and am loving it thus far..... Question however. I purchased digital copy of Madden 15 just like I did on my Xbox One. Does the PS4 install games differently than the One? In the upper left hand corner, it says installing and that there is 21 hours left! I have 60 meg download and 10 upload. Madden 15 took 35 minutes to fully install on my One. Is this normal?

That seems a bit excessive. Perhaps you can run a network test from inside the PS4 settings menu and see what kind of speeds you are getting. There is a post earlier in this thread about people changing their DNS settings to help PS4 speeds. I haven't tried it yet but I have 50down and 5up and don't get anywhere near those speeds reported by the PS4. Good Luck.

Can anyone recommend a good pair of surround sound wireless headphones I can use with both ps4 and Xbox one? Is there such a device?

The sony gold work with both, but you need to buy the extra adapter on the xbox and you won't get enough bass when you use it on the xbox because the gold headset only allows bass boast when used wireless. Your best bet is going with the Astros A50. They're a bit pricey, but from what I hear they're the best.

Rakuten.com has PS4 controllers for $15 off today (white, blue or black) if anyone needs a controller. I never did get my PS4 from them though, they shipped it late and we moved so it got sent back to them, so if you need a controller in a hurry it's not your best bet..

Hit eject button,Unplug the power cord...plug it back in, let reformat...should be good to go.

A friend of mine at work had this issue with the white ps4 and he ended up putting his ps4 vertical and hasnt had a problem since. That may or may not fix your issue. If that doesn't work, I know sony suggests other fixes as well.

Don't know if anyone remembers this post of mine...

So I'm just going to post this here because I don't know what kind of activity any PS3 threads get.

My power went out today, and upon coming back again I noticed a blinking red light on my PS3. Tried to turn it on... YLOD. As some may recall, my PS3 originally YLOD'ed last August and I got it fixed mid-January. On top of that, I have a Panamax surge protector (one of them big ol' ones with millions in protective insurance).

So I'm wondering if Sony or Panamax can help me out here with this issue. I don't know if I can "prove" that the first time I tried to turn it on after the power outage it was a YLOD, much less prove that perhaps a power surge caused something. But does anyone here think I have a case for a free repair or something? Better yet, has this happened to anybody before?

I was about to try my PS TV I never opened last month, so I was going to unplug my YLOD'ed PS3 I haven't touched in months. As a last-ditch effort I wanted to see if I could remove my disc that was in there... and it turned on, and ejected.

Has anybody ever heard of a PS3 un-YLOD'ing itself? Granted, I don't know if this thing has legs on it still or if this is a one-time thing (I still have it running, playing music). But should I be concerned? Did it fix itself? What the hell happened here?

Then again, I still don't know what caused it to YLOD the first time, except for the power outage doing its thing.

Hopefully it's back for good! The PS3 is a superior Blu-ray player to the PS4 as is.

Still gotta try out PS TV now haha. Don't know if I want to risk turning off this thing anymore.
