Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I like it because I am farm destiny bounties while my little one is awake (she's 3). My PS4 is upstairs in the office so I can't go up there if it is just her and I alone. She can play in her room/watch a movie/etc and I can rip through bounties while cooking dinner, etc.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Hey guys.
I don't know if anyone remembers, but I was having problems occasionally loading GTA V and it was showing the same game icon as Madden 15 for me.
Well, eventually GTA V quit loading for me completely and I searched the error code. If anyone experiences anything similar here's a quick fix I copied from the PS forum. I can vouch for it.
It restored my game menu icon and everything works flawlessly again without having to delete and re install the game.
1st: turn off your console and then wait until the light completely turns off.
2nd: hold the power button for 5 seconds or so until you hear a second beep.
3rd: Now, you put your ps4 in "safe mode" and it will ask you to connect your dual shock 4 and press the home button.
4th: now you should go option 5 which is "restore database" NOTE: this will not delete your data. It will just make your ps4 reset the computer so you can fix the error code.
5th: then it will just update and reset on its own and then your game should just play with no issue.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think you have just used up all of your upload notification space.
1. Go to Notifications at the top of your PS4 menu.
2. Go down to Uploads.
3. Delete upload notifications.
4. Proceed to try to upload photos again.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Here's a stupid question: What does the PS4 use with Vita to connect via Remote Play? I just found out that my PS4 hasn't been connected through my LAN cable for over a week, as I used that cable to test something on my old PS3. And yet, I've been able to do Remote Play. Just finally plugged back into Ethernet for the first time.
Was it using wireless? If so, the wireless held up very strongly for RP. And if it was using wireless, how come it doesn't go to wireless when it doesn't recognize wired for something like PSN as well?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Use 8.8.8.8 for Primary, and 8.8.4.4 for Secondary. There are faster ones, but you'd need to install some PC software for it.
Also. If you're on WiFi, try wired. You won't always notice speed upgrades on a WiFi connection.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If you are wired, would those Google DNS values help?
Just to clarify, my wired PS4 gets 35.0 Mbps (download) and 6.3 Mbps (upload) currently, and my Vita gets 11.3 Mbps (download) and 5.4 Mbps (upload) through wireless.
I wonder if there really is a necessity for me to try and go higher for something like SharePlay or Remote Play. I understand those with the slow speeds are looking at like 200 kbps, and that's obviously not an issue for me.
EDIT: Well, instead of asking stupidly, I just changed the settings to test it out. No change to speak of. I'll try with my Vita.
EDIT: Virtually no change on Vita for me as well.Last edited by Blzer; 12-20-2014, 01:56 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Thanks, but my question is how did I connect to Remote Play if my PS4 wasn't connected to the Internet?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
