It drops the same day as the incursion update in Division.

Too much awesomeness! Gonna be a great day.

I hope the game and movie are successful. I'm getting burned out on the overly dramatic and over the top serious games and would like to see more of these games brought back.

The HTC Vive is crap as is that cardboard VR garbage. So those two aren't a factor. OR is the only competition and from those who have played both OR and PSVR, they say PSVR is better and more importantly, is actually more comfortable to wear and the screen is further out in the headset.

If Sony couldn't get the PSVR to where they wanted it to be with the current PS4 then they shouldn't have done it at all. They should have waited for PS5 and build it in connection with PSVR and go from there as opposed to rushing it out to market.

Of course, it doesn't matter because game wise, PSVR will be dead in two years anyway so it's all pointless in the end.
How isn't the Vive a factor? Out of all the VR headsets that one had the most people buzzing about it after they used it. The specs for it match, if not exceed whats in the Oculus, and both of those are a step above what's being offered in the PSVR headset.

Yeah, doesn't really add up. There are some benefits to the PSVR display tech but then it's limited to stylized games to cover for the horsepower needed. Rift and Vive are comparable, with the Vive being widely praised for being the more complete experience and allowing for spatial VR rather than just seated. PSVR and then Rift appear to be the better balanced/ready to be worn for longer play sessions, but that's subjective.

There's a Rift thread, would be interested in which reviews get cherry picked to back up the stream of consciousness.

I hate platformer games as I feel its for children and its extremely boring games but more diversity is always good for consumers. Im just glad a top studio isnt wasting their time with platformer though

Yeah I hope people arent getting their hopes up expecting PS4.5 to show native 4K, otherwise expect PS4K to be $1000 or more.

PS4.5 is nothing more than what PS3 slim and PS2 slim were. Good option for new PS4 buyers

Different strokes for different folks, but you're missing out on a lot of great games. Ratchet & Clank is a great series and has some great writing to go along with its fun gameplay. Jak & Daxter was the precursor to Uncharted and The Last of Us.

I've yet to play Bloodborne. I'm not saying this gen doesn't have its share of good/great games, but very few have really put the "next gen" stamp on.

I imagine a lot of guys have missed out on great gaming experiences due to feeling like some games are for "children". I will play anything, fun is fun regardless of the age.

I think it's a male/macho thing like "I don't want people to see me playing some damned Mario game and think I'm some kind of loser or something" tbh.

To each his or her own but I think writing off an entire genre of great games is sort of strange.

I don't think we know for sure, yet, whether or not this statement is accurate or not.

I know some of you think 4K is a gimmick, and I understand that...however BASEBALL IN 4K IS GLORIOUS. I'm watching the Jays game in 4K and its stunning, even in that crappy stadium in Montreal.
I am the lesson after the fall.

Seriously? Every article I have read or opinions from those who tried them all said that the Hive was second worse after that cardboard crap. Add in the $800 price tag and to me, it seems like it's all PSVR and OR with the others being "meh". Oh well. Maybe im wrong or maybe it's that Hive isn't focused on games as much as the other two? I don't know. Just going by what I read in articles and thousands of posts of people that have played all of them.
