My understanding is if certain parts are already designed, and orders are placed they're pretty much locked in other than maybe raising clock speeds a bit.

Well, honestly, if they locked into the rumored Neo specs, those should still be good enough for 1080p/60 FPS and equivalent to high/ultra on PC, which is all I need from my consoles. Scorpio will definitely show a big leap in VR fidelity and 4K gaming tho

FYI there's a big E3 celebration sale, actually I think two different sales going at the same time, on PSN

I'm probably picking up Hardline for 5 bucks, I mean why not

When do you guys think Sony will show a slim ps4 or the NEO? I would think with xboxone coming out with a slim and a slim that can play 4k blurays and lowering the price and with them coming out with a more powerful system next year that Sony needs to show of a slim or NEO soon I would think.

Id imagine they would throw something out about the Neo pretty soon. Scorpio seems to be pretty buzz worthy since the Microsoft reveal.

Sony knocked it out of the park, game wise, maybe they are gonna just focus on the games this week and later in the month send out a Neo reveal

A really big patch (impact wise, not necessarily size wise) dropped today for the soon-to-be F2P for all PS4/PC crossplay MOBA, Paragon.

I have spent a pretty decent amount of time with the game after paying the 15 or 20 bucks for the early access pack, it is a good time, I think when it gets the public F2P release it will have a good user base

They added a MOBA camera, can't wait to try that out and see if it is like LoL and Dota

Changed some key game mechanics and lot of hero balancing. Epic is pushing out updates to the alpha/beta build (I honestly forget what stage is it at now) regularly and they just, overall, are doing a great time developing the game IMO

Apparently it is entering free open beta in August

I'm believing more and more that if you don't have a 4K set, it won't be necessary or worth it to upgrade. IMO that's exactly the right strategy. The user base will not be divided; it's simply being offered an avenue of additional support if one so chooses to invest the money.

I agree that for 1080p displays it won't be necessary to upgrade.

As far as "worth it," I guess that's subjective. I'm one of those people who will upgrade my graphics card (like going from my 780ti, which can pretty much run everything smoothly on high/ultra at 1080p, to the new GTX 1080, which is just a buzz saw of raw power) even if it's really just kind of overkill. To me it's worth it to have that overkill but that's just me, not the same for everyone else.

Unless I'm buying a new TV for my console I don't think the difference will be noticeable enough for my money.

Plus, I want some more killer apps before I start thinking about re-investing in hardware this gen.

I will have to agree. If I have the extra cash, i like to get the latest and greatest as well even if what I have is running well. Key is if I have the funds available to do so.

Exactly........

My interest in NEO is only two-thirds. One is VR. I understand that the bundle makes it irrelevant since I can go that way if I choose. The other is cross-play with PC players. NEO will help me with leveling the playing field with FPS with current and future games against them. Currently, I do see drops in frames when battling with tanks in WT.
