Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Forgot to mention...
If it launches in October, it is not for VR, since that was built with the 40+ million PS4's in mind, lol.
It is to have a 4k steaming, UHD playing, boosted enthusiast performance box out for the holidays.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
My Directv bill man.. i'm gonna have to just let them cut it off and pay it off, because i'm literally sick of them. I only have a chromecast, apple tv 2nd gen and a roku, so i'm going to have to work on getting some more updated devices and switch over.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Are there any good racing games that aren't super sim? I miss the old Need For Speed games on the PS1 and I haven't really cared for the most recent ones EA has put out in the series.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
PSVR is not even mentioned once in the leaked presentation documents for developers with Neo.
This has been talked about and hinted at to extend the generation and not having to have risky 'hard resets' for developers even before PSVR was shown.
For someone who frequents NeoGAF, I am surprised you don't pay attention more to these details pointed out by not only developers on there, but other members, when people try and drive-by with those posts.
'Common sense' is just tales from the arse in this instance.
It will improve the experience in the same way it will improve non VR experiences. It was not "made for VR". Hell, 'common sense' would tell you the majority of the talk about Neo is 4K, something PSVR is not rendering in.
Enough with that 'narrative'.Comment

To each their own = ignorance is bliss in this case.
The evidence is against your 'coincidence'.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The most recent Need for Speed is actually a lot of fun. If you were a fan of Need for Speed Underground it'll make your nostalgia very happy. My only complaint is the lack of a manual option, but they could have patched that in as the game continues to be updated on a regular basis.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I could not get past the unstoppable narrative intro on NFS (got bored, shut it off), have heard that from others that it was good though. It's on EA Access so will get around to it eventually.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
On a related note - I also believe that NEO would eliminate the processing unit that's included with the PSVR which would allow Sony to remove it and thus lower the cost of the PSVR unit itself or release a PSVR retail unit without the processing unit for those who buy NEO and want to buy a PSVR.Comment

I'll just refer to Enigma's post for further explanation.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
For those who upgrade from the base PS4 to NEO like some here said they would be doing, why would you buy PSVR for $400 when you could buy the PSVR for less and not deal with the processing unit?Comment
