'Common sense' is just tales from the arse in this instance.

It will improve the experience in the same way it will improve non VR experiences. It was not "made for VR". Hell, 'common sense' would tell you the majority of the talk about Neo is 4K, something PSVR is not rendering in.

    Enough with that 'narrative'.

      Forgot to mention...

If it launches in October, it is not for VR, since that was built with the 40+ million PS4's in mind, lol.

It is to have a 4k steaming, UHD playing, boosted enthusiast performance box out for the holidays.

I just went and checked Channel 2 and something else like nicktoons and you guys are right.

My Directv bill man.. i'm gonna have to just let them cut it off and pay it off, because i'm literally sick of them. I only have a chromecast, apple tv 2nd gen and a roku, so i'm going to have to work on getting some more updated devices and switch over.

Are there any good racing games that aren't super sim? I miss the old Need For Speed games on the PS1 and I haven't really cared for the most recent ones EA has put out in the series.

To each their own but to me, if NEO releases in October, it's just too much of a coincidence that a slightly more powerful PS4 is launching at around the same time of PSVR and im not one who believes in coincidences.

The most recent Need for Speed is actually a lot of fun. If you were a fan of Need for Speed Underground it'll make your nostalgia very happy. My only complaint is the lack of a manual option, but they could have patched that in as the game continues to be updated on a regular basis.

I could not get past the unstoppable narrative intro on NFS (got bored, shut it off), have heard that from others that it was good though. It's on EA Access so will get around to it eventually.

It will improve VR as you mentioned......Since 60 fps is the required Sony certification that devs will need to meet for all PS VR, NEO will only enhance the vr experience from its added power. Still, XBOX1 S launching in Aug with ULHD playback and at a lower cost than Sony's current models surely must make them cringe and want it out sooner than later.

On a related note - I also believe that NEO would eliminate the processing unit that's included with the PSVR which would allow Sony to remove it and thus lower the cost of the PSVR unit itself or release a PSVR retail unit without the processing unit for those who buy NEO and want to buy a PSVR.

Why would they decide to risk confusing the customer by launching a second version of PSVR that only works with Neo?

I'll just refer to Enigma's post for further explanation.

Base PS4, PS4 Neo, PSVR...there's already enough to confuse the average customer. Adding a cheaper PSVR without the processing unit wouldn't make any difference. Not only that but say, someone who doesn't already own a PS4 wants to buy one and wants to buy PSVR. Why would you buy the base PS4 and PSVR when you could buy NEO and PSVR while eliminating the processing unit and the extra cables that come with it, have the higher spec console and most likely save money in the process?

For those who upgrade from the base PS4 to NEO like some here said they would be doing, why would you buy PSVR for $400 when you could buy the PSVR for less and not deal with the processing unit?
