I am not canceling mine yet, going to take this to the end at the store. If I get nowhere I will cancel in there and order it from Amazon.

Instead of cancelling your order, why don't you guys say something to them? Get something out of it. Call them out on their shady behavior. I thought that's what the screenshots were for.

I think I have confused myself now....

Tomb Raider has a 4k mode, a 1080p 30fps "graphics mode" and a 1080p normal mode but uncapped frame rate (45-60), right? Or am I all mixed up

Yes, I know. You have rubbed it in a few times when reminding me. It's all good though bud.

Instead they just stealth changed the listing without sending any notice or anything to anyone who pre-ordered. Anyway, no harm done. It is what it is.

I just wonder what caused this mix up. Maybe this is gonna be a black friday deal down the road?

This is disappointing for sure but hopefully when the games get here it will all be worth it.

          Agreed
That's not really how companies work. Besides, if people were to actually read all that fine print, it always says that they reserve the right to change or cancel offers/deals, etc. at any time. Besides, it might not even be Best Buy's fault. Maybe they received ads or emails about the offer from Sony but was changed or misread or misworded. Seriously, who knows? Considering what all the publishers in the video game industry have pulled over the decades, why people are angry at Best Buy yet not at publishers makes no sense to me. People were hoping for a great deal but shouldn't have expected it. I was hoping to get like $1000 worth of gift cards for like $200 but I knew that wasn't going to happen. Once they catch the error, they fit it. Plus, you have people calling up Best Buy or asking about the offer which is beyond stupid because all you're doing is making them aware of it. So in a way, it's the same people who were happy about the offer that caused it to end and not happen. LOL.

Really surprised that TLG was delayed. Truly believed that October 25th was set in stone. Oh well.

And yeah, HDR / 4K needs to be seen in person, face to TV. LOL. All other ways isn't going to work.

Not trying to be combative but it is hard for me to except that "You buy this product today, overnight we change the description" is the acceptable normal practice these days. Maybe I am just out of touch.

I mean, yeah, maybe I am in an idiot, I can hold the L on this, but I have a hard time accepting that I should accept full responsibility for this deal not working out.

That's right, uncapped between 45 and 60. Just cut down on AA or turn down environment quality or something, let me rock at 60. It really depends on how "uncapped" it is, sometimes that means it hovers at 60 and drops to 40 and sometimes it means it can hover lower and spike in less intensive areas. I just want 60 man....

Side note Daniel, I don't know if you've worked in retail but you've got it all wrong. This kind of thing happens all the time and companies honor it often, depending on the scale of their losses. My first job was at HD and you'd be surprised the kind of nonsense they let customers get away with. People using items and returning them full price, honoring mistakes, people just complaining enough about high prices, they will bend to the customer.

I understand your point of view but the problem is that every publisher always goes for the better resolution because it's easier to market and sell the game. A game like ROTTR doesn't even need 60FPS. A locked 30FPS and 2160P works for me. Add in HDR and hell yeah.

As for PC, ROTTR already came out on PC so don't see how the PS4 PRO version affects that. Besides, no one cares about all you geeks and nerds. LOL. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I laugh every time Greg Miller says that. For me, I don't care about PC gaming so whether the games are better or worse means nothing to me.

I just like the idea of having OPTIONS when playing and setting it up the way you want to play. Love the idea. Just hope the execution is good. Plus, I rather have the different options as opposed to the game being set at whatever the developer/publisher wants.

I bashed SE for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and their practices, etc. but what Crystal Dynamics is doing with ROTTR on PRO is a damn good idea and if im all for it, then it's definitely saying something.

Yeah, I actually am keeping it. I'll show up in store on Thursday and I will get something out of it. That's too shady to change the order without notification.

I called them, and they were morons. I assume the people in the store will be the similar morons. But I haven't canceled mine yet and plan to do the same on Thursday.

Yes that is the first problem... The second is people accepting it lol. They give you whatever you'll take.

Love Kinda funny but they sound like idiots every time they make fun of PC gaming, it's ironic because that's what people do to them from the outside but it's whatever. I don't understand your point about the PC version, I'm talking about the PS4 version.

Gamers need to stop throwing each other under the bus. Sony gamers don't care about Xbox gamers, console gamers don't care about pc gamers and vice versa, you know better games for one is better games for all right? Regardless, it's whatever. Like I said, I don't mind the options just question the decision to go uncapped at 1080P as opposed to a locked 60.

I have. When it comes to multi-million dollar companies, they're all full of crap. But in fairness, customers do their best to take advantage of the situation, so it's not like they're any better. I'm not saying what Best Buy did is right, it's not and they should have just cancelled the orders instead but what I am saying is that it's not really a surprise to see a deal that's too good to be true be changed or cancelled.

Yeah, in-store they'll just go by what's in their computer, take it or leave it.

Communication could very well still be coming, pretty sure changing the product description to remove items you bought is more than just a bit shady in some parts. I am surprised legal didn't have them cancel them all.

If it was a Best Buy mistake you'd probably get something for it, but this is probably just the product information sent from Sony.
