I was one of those saying I don't see it happening lol. If that type of trade-in deal was going to happen in time for launch day, we would have heard about it by now. And I expect basic PS4 consoles to be down to $250 for the holiday season. GameStop won't be giving us $200 for something worth $250 brand new.

Well, again, the base Xbox One is down to $250 and they were giving $200 in credit for it. The promo last for about a week or two.

How much will a PS4 Pro cost and, do you guys think these will be hard to buy for awhile (as in sold out?) or what? I'm interested in getting one as I play most of my games on the PS4.

GameStop did not give 200 for the stock xbox one when the S came out.

          They offered 150

Sony PS4 stock will most likely be $175

$399. I don't think you'll have a problem finding one at one of the big box stores. I preordered one a couple weeks ago with no problem.

Yea I guess I can see the PS4 trade in value towards a PS4 Pro being 150-175.

I wonder if they'd give the same for a vanilla PS4 vs a PS4 Slim?

I'm not trading in my Slim towards my Pro but I'm just curious.

I want a PS4 Pro because it'll be faster and games will look better than the regular PS4, which I play a lot of but once I go Pro it will be hard to go back to regular PS4 when I play in my living room but...#firstworldproblems right?

Pro is almost here, can't wait to pick it up! Been excited about it for a long time.

Is the official release date of those Platinum Headsets the 15th? Been holding off waiting for those as well

There is a site that has list of all the confirmed improvements released so far for Pro games running at 1080p but I forgot the link. A lot of games have confirmed Pro support but haven't detailed their 1080p enhancements yet.

But even if it doesn't have SPECIFIC Pro support the frame rates will be more stable and even for some games. I mean after all the GPU has more than double the power so its akin to getting a new video card on a PC but still having the same PC, even if it's not going to make games look dramatically different you'll still see better game play.

The SATA3 hard drive speed should provide universal boosts to loading times and whatnot as well, I'd imagine

It's absolutely nothing like PC and half the GPU is shut off for games that don't have Pro support.

First, we doubled the GPU size by essentially placing it next to a mirrored version of itself, sort of like the wings of a butterfly. That gives us an extremely clean way to support the existing 700 titles," Cerny explains, detailing how the Pro switches into its 'base' compatibility mode. "We just turn off half the GPU and run it at something quite close to the original GPU."
But what about deploying the additional Pro GPU power in base PS4 mode, similar to the Xbox One S? Or even just retaining the 111MHz GPU frequency boost? For Sony, it's all about playing it safe, to ensure that the existing 700 titles just work.

"I've done a number of experiments looking for issues when frequencies vary and... well... [laughs] I think first and foremost, we need everything to work flawlessly. We don't want people to be conscious of any issues that may arise when they move from the standard model to the PS4 Pro."

Yea that is not how PS4 Pro works. SOny will tell you that there will be increase in ps4 base games or on 1080p sets which it will be minimal at best and not worth 400 plus tax if you have a ps4 already.

It will make a substantial difference if you have a 4k set....Well worth it

Yeah if I didn't have a 4K and a PSVR I'd probably pass for now.
Plus I never did upgrade my HDD and still rolling with 500GB.
