it doesn't connect you to the internet. You Use the ethernet cable to hook the two systems up together and it transfers everything over from one system to another. I did this on PS3 years ago and everything went over smoothly except for certain things that's couldn't be transferred over like certain unique game saves.

I didn't have to re-download none of my games music or pictures. So I recommend this is the best route to go especially if you have a lot of digital games

That is actually what I am doing. Just upgraded to Xbox One S and will upgrade to Pro once it releases, then 4k TV or monitor a little later.

In other news LOL I finally got my PS4 in August and it feels good to be able to post in here as a member of the PS4 community. I've been reading this thread since day one and I've been super jealous since I didn't have one. The PS4 is Awesome by the way.

I already have 6 disc games Assassin's Creed Unity NBA 2K17 WWE 2K17 Madden 17 Black Ops 3 and Arkham Knight which I picked up from Redbox for $5.99. Digitally about The Last of Us remastered and I just picked up Sleeping Dogs for 8 bucks. $18 for both games helluva deal thank you PSN. I have been waiting for so long to play the extra DLC content for Sleeping Dogs now I get to go through the whole game again and play the extra stories. Awesome!

I'm playing through Unity now and I'm loving it. Now I just need GTA 5 so I can join y'all in the fun. Long Live PS4 LOL

Am I remembering correctly though that you lose that information on your other PS3? Or am I possibly just thinking of something else?

No it's still on there. It basically a copy & paste. I should have stated that at first, my bad.

You have to reset the original system to default if you want to delete everything.

So all I have to do is hook a ethernet cable up to the two systems. Do they both have to be on or just the one I'm transferring the data to?

Dumb question: If the Pro uses SATA III, will my current 1 TB hybrid drive work with it?. Will the hybrid drive even be an upgrade to the Pro's stock 1 TB drive?

So would the PS4 Pro be worth it if I do not have a 4K tv?

If I could sell my PS4 and get good return, I might would do it, but not sure I can. Any trade in deals?

I would not because the small gains you get on a 1080p set not worth the money you going to spend. You wont get much for the ps4 at this time

Stick to ps4 and when you get a 4K tv you might get the pro cheaper

The TV I game on is a 46" 1080p Samsung from 2010. Is it worth it for me to get the Pro with that TV or no? I really haven't planned on buying a new TV because this one still runs great and has no issues.

Yes they both need to be on.

Okay so apparently things are a little different with the PS4 as in the new system you transferring the data to will need to be signed into the PlayStation Network and you can do this over Wi-Fi or wired. Over Wi-Fi you just put the two systems up with an ethernet cable and continue as I previously stated. Wired, you need to hook both systems up to the same router with an ethernet cable so you will need 2 cables. here is the link to the PS4 user guide explaining everything

Nobody knows for sure, it's just opinion and speculation. I would wait for some reviews and then decide for yourself.

Sony said you will be able to tell a difference with a 1080p TV. If you aren't sure the best thing to do is to wait until the Pro launches and look at what the people are saying.

I would almost guarantee that GameStop will do a limited time $200 trade in towards a PS4 Pro. They did they same for the Xbox One S and always do something along those lines when system updates release.

I've been saying this for months but people on OS kept quoting me and saying it won't happen.

My response was 'we'll see' and we will.
