Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
You need twice the space of whatever game is updating. So if you have a 50gb game with an update, you need 100gb of space. But a 20gb game only needs 40gb of space.
The way the way Sony rep explained it to me is every time there's an update, the system re-installs the full game and deletes the old version when the new version is fully installed. That doesn't make complete sense, but it's the explanation I got.
Edit: This is what I posted in June after talking with Sony: So I contacted Sony, because I was curious. The rep said when there's an update, the system uninstalls the game, downloads the update and then reinstalls everything. For whatever reason, it doesn't give you back the space while it's doing that, so you essentially need double the space of the game to install the update.
Yeah it doesn't make a lot of sense but I have heard people say it was like this on ps3 to. I never had to worry about that on ps3 because games didn't have to be installed on the hard drive so it was a lot easier to not run out of space on ps3 then it is on ps4.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think it started with the disc eject error then just died completely. Wouldn't do anything if I remember right. It was a while ago.
I did some troubleshooting with the tech guy on the phone for like 5 minutes and he said I'll send you the coffin. I got my new one in like a week or so.Comment

That's a really backwards way of doing things, IMO.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I get needing double the space, but Overwatch is 15gigs. I definitely had space for that. Yet the system wouldn't let me update it.
But I'll try making space today.Comment

Really awesome to read if so.
Gonna start my week long hunt for Skull gloves and whatever other names pieces I need. Already have the chest and holster with both great roles.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Apparently a Styx sequel is being released next year. I have the first game on my PS4, but haven't played it. The gameplay from the new one looks like fun. Has anybody played the first?

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So I take back my early impressions of the Pro being quiet. NBA 2K17 disc while in HDR was loud and the fan was working hard. I might need to put it in a better place for ventilation.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
