That's not true though. This is no different than any other game being pulled because of license issues. They're just not allowed to sell it anymore. If you own the game, you can download it again.

I heard someone else say that but I really don't think that is true because how can you download something if it is not there any more and I know there was a demo to a game that was pulled before and you couldn't redownload the demo after that.

So after owning the PS4 Pro for a few weeks now I can safely say that if you have yet to buy a PS4 then the PS4 Pro is a clear choice. It'd be really stupid, even if you plan to never buy a 4K tv, to get a PS4 slim in my opinion. There is no reason I can think of to even consider going PS4 slim unless you are just short of money perhaps, but even then I'd probably save and wait.



With that being said, there is no major reason to upgrade right now if you have a working PS4. Even if you have a PSVR as there's not a huge difference. So take your time and save up for a collectors edition or a great sale, perhaps this spring.



However, if you have a 4K tv, then hell yes you need to upgrade like yesterday. And if you have a PSVR you should realize it will be in your best interest to start saving for 2017.



And once you do get a PS4 Pro the first game you need to play is Shadows of Mordor, OMFG...that game is awesome even on 1080P with the enhanced graphics (which is how I'm playing). I have also downloaded the newest Tomb Raider as I heard it looks awesome with the enhanced graphics for 1080p people but I haven't yet had a chance to play it since I cannot stop playing Shadows, LOL



One thing I do recommend for everyone is to get the new PS4 Dualshock 4 regardless of your system status. It's really nice, feels better (the texture is slightly diferent) and the new light on the bar is great for games that utilize the light bar.

You should be playing shadow of mordor in 4k. The game runs native 90% of the time and looks fantastic in 4k.

I don't know how anyone could disagree with the Jarebear, he's awesome. I love his positive attitude and outright enthusiasm about gaming. It's a real nice change of pace from all the jaded BS attitudes most folks around here have.

Hehehehe. I'm definitely one who's more negative than positive but when you see so much bullcrap in this industry, it's sometimes hard to stay positive through it all.

Agree with you about JareBear as he's definitely one of the very few people who's always positive. However, I do disagree with him sometimes. I remember arguing with him about Days Gone being a single player experience only. JareBear wanted there to be a multi-player aspect in the game but me, being a single player only gamer didn't want that and im very happy that it doesn't.

The main reason why the majority of PlayStation exclusives appeal is because they're mainly off-line single player experiences where as the majority of Xbox One exclusives are focused on the online aspects which im obviously not into at all.

Either way, come on back JareBear. We all miss you bud!!!

That's a weird argument Daniel. I can understand being a single player only player but a game having an online aspect as well shouldn't hurt you in that scenario. I dont understand why anyone would be happy that something is not there they wouldn't use anyways.

It's true. It happens. Just because something isn't available for purchase in a digital store front, doesn't mean that the game files no longer exist for existing customers. They do. I own a few games that you can't buy anymore. Some of them were replaced by definitive editions, or just removed for whatever reason.

What do you think happens when a game is released and then 12 months or so later, they release a GOTY or gold version and only sell that? The people that bought the original game aren't out of luck. They still own the regular edition and can still play it. They just don't have the GOTY edition.

Demos are a lot different than games that people actually purchase.

You're likely referring to P.T. and that's the only software I can think of that has ever fallen into this category. And it's not a game as was mentioned, just a demo which had its full game canceled (Silent Hill). It's a special case to say the least (although people still hate Konami for it, among other things recently)

Not really. Think about it. For Honor has a multi-player aspect and it's been confirmed that in order to play the single player campaign, you have to be connected online ala The Division but unlike The Division, For Honor isn't an online MMORPG type game.

Online also adds in co-op (see Ghost Recon) which is obviously an online element since couch co-op is dead. Other games that have multi-player in it usually are more focused and geared towards that aspect than the single player aspect.

Also, adding in multi-player takes away resources from the main game to tact on some secondary feature just to try to please those people and get into that market but when that's done, it turns out to be worse than not adding it at all.

A game like Days Gone is my most wanted and anticipated exclusive for PS4. It has the crafting, survival elements of TLOU with a big open world, environmental kills, is third person, has motorcycles and bikers which appeals to me since im a huge Sons of Anarchy fan. The entire mix and combination appeals to me 100%.

Adding in an online multi-player aspect not only does nothing for me but takes away from the main game and it's story and characters. Sony Bend is a small studio set in literally no man's land. I don't want what could be one hell of a open world single player zombie survival type game to be dragged down by a thrown in multi-player component that would not only take away from the base game but would at the same time, add nothing to the base game in terms of story, characters, etc.

I have no problem with multi-player and online in general but it being added in every single game just for the sake of adding it in is simply a no no for me personally. There's a reason why Horizon, Days Gone, Detroit, God of War IV, etc. all appeal to me and have me hyped for them all. Because they're giving me what I want. A single player story driven experience with hopefully excellent gameplay.

Also, when there's an online aspect, that's where all this season pass/DLC crap come into play and after a while, it's like, no thanks. Of course, this is just for me personally. Games like Far Cry Primal, AC Syndicate, Mad Max, etc. were all perfect for me in regards to not only what im looking for in games but also because I know that it's a pure single player experience and again, for me personally, that's what im looking for.

And on a related note, one of my favorite games from last gen was Splinter Cell Conviction which had a co-op prologue that I couldn't play because it was online. I'm simply not going to do that as it doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. Crap like that aggravates me to no end so when games that im interested in don't have those aspects, im the happiest gamer you'll ever see.

I don't know about online, but I'm getting burned out by open world games, especially open world games that are packed with fluff to hit some magical hour mark.

Maybe it's me, but I just don't have the time, or the desire, to deal with a large game.

There are plenty of games that do what you describe here. You can easily just avoid the online only games and avoid the online part of the other games. Diablo, division, forza horizon, tomb raider, gta, red dead, borderlands, every sports game.....I could list them for an hour. All games that can be played single player but have online components too. My point was you can just not play online. I don't buy that the online aspect of these games hurts the single player at all.

Some games that add in multiplayer do so at the expense of the single player campaign. Look at Days Gone, Horizon, GOW, etc. that don't have multiplayer. If these games were to automatically add in multiplayer now, it would definitely be at the cost of the single player campaign because resources would be taken away from that to be put towards the multiplayer aspect.

My main complaint is that nowadays, games add multiplayer just for the sake of having it. Not every game needs or should have a multiplayer component regardless of whether or not you can ignore it.

Some games adding in a multiplayer component is like Blizzard adding a single player campaign to Overwatch. What would be the point? It simply doesn't fit.

Yes, while you can just not choose to go online the point is resources are being utilized for multiplayer and, in some games that actually utilize both modes, we are seeing them drop the single player experience and/or campaign altogether because publishers think that it is enough if they just provide a game with multiplayer.

Battlefront series for example was once both online and single player but in recent history, in the case of Star Wars Battlefront, they didn't have single player at all in the game. Thankfully they realized this was an issue for folks and in the next Battlefront Star Wars will once again have both.

I enjoy both but a good single player experience with story and campaign is still something the industry needs to produce.

Again, not every single game needs some tacked on multiplayer.

I even had a thread about this on here about how folks in general don't want to be as social as the industry thinks we want to be.

Social, online gaming is awesome, I love it but I feel I speak for many when I also enjoy the solitude of gaming without having to speak to, or interact with someone constantly. Hell even when I game with folks I am aware of having to pause for 10 minutes to put the dog out or something. Gaming on its own, just by yourself is still a great experience for many of us, in fact probably the majority of people, especially considering how awful some folks act online.

There's no real quick way other than getting an external hard disk and doing a backup and then restore, but the "easy" way is to connect both to your router and/or with an ethernet and do a transfer. But mine (which was 850gb) took about 16 hours to do a full transfer so it certainly was not quick.

Once you're done yes, you can use both the same as before as it doesn't wipe the old system or anything.
