Netflix probably has the most 4k offerings. All of their originals are in 4k plus the nature stuff. They got breaking bad in 4k too.

Amazon prime has got some stuff too and it's included at regular price.

So am I looking at this right? For my 55 inch TV they are saying I should be around 5 feet from the TV to see the difference with 4k? I am like around 8 feet or so and I don't even have the best vision and I can tell the difference in 4k.

So question, I know that the PS4 regular was updated with HDR, but some say it's fake?? How so??

Without having the ability to go to higher NITS (a way of measuring brightness) the standard HDR on a non 4K tv simply isn't going to get that bright.

A good 4K TV with HDR goes to 1,000 NITS of brightness but a regular HDTV only does 1/10th so yeah, it's not real HDR.

No exaggeration at all. Once you play a game with HDR that's implemented correctly, it will blow you away. Add in the 4K resolution and yeah, there's a difference. Playing Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One Slim on my 4KTV with HDR and wow!!! Gears of War 4 and RE VII were good as well.

Horizon: Zero Dawn will be the game that steps it up another notch. Playing the above games and Horizon tomorrow convinced me that HDR is next major thing for 4KTV's. And it's only in it's infancy.

                That is correct.

You maybe mistaking HDR which is noticeable. However, if you still think differently, then all you need to do is recalculate the mathematics which can be found here. Just scroll down the page a little. You need to know what your eyesight quality is. Your a smart fellow. Shouldn't take you that long. Once your done let me know what your personal computations are.

I wasn't impressed with Netflix 4k. I watched an episode of Daredevil and Luke Cage and I would have never known the difference between that and 1080p. I was standing right next to my 4k tv. I think Netflix streaming quality isn't that great (at least the Canada version). I've seen much better 4k quality on YouTube. I also think Amazon Prime video looks better than Netflix imo.

I haven't watched either of those. I know the series they have on there called "tales by the light" looks amazing. I've definitely seen some good stuff on YouTube and prime.

Remote play needs some work huh? Just tried streaming the show to my laptop that is hard wired to the same network as my pa4 and it was pretty much unplayable.

Had some problems with PC for sure. On Vita, it is incredible (it connects directly to the PS4 wirelessly, not channeling through a network first).

Well I have not watched a lot of 4k stuff as I only have one 4k bluray and don't have a ps4 pro but I have watched a few 4k things on Netflix and also some 4k YouTube stuff and I can tell 4k from 1080p. 1080p looks good but 4k just looks wow. From what I have heard about 4k and also 1080p I think those things about how close you need to be to tell the difference are kind of wrong.

I would think they can improve it. Wonder if they are still working on it. I do the same thing with my One and it's pretty flawless.

I don't think he's exaggerating. Since getting the pro I barely turn on my Xbox slim. I only use it to watch 4k blu ray or the vudu app to watch movies, but all my gaming I've done on the pro ever since. After playing games in 4k HDR it does feel like you're going backwards playing in 1080p or anything lower.

I agree. Amazon prime has better looking stuff. Look at "the grand tour" in 4k HDR on prime. It looks really good, but nothing comes close to 4k blu ray. Regular 1080p blu ray still looks better than some of the compressed 4k stuff on Netflix and prime.
