Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
piggyback follow-up: I just picked up a Pro a couple hours ago, now I'm looking for a 4k tv for it. This tv will be exclusively used onl for the PsPro, i.e. no satellite tv channels watched on it. The question is what type 4k tv's should I consider. I want at least a 50''.
And am I right in thinking the Pro doesn't play blu-ray movie discs?
PS4 Pro plays blu-ray discs but does not play UHD (4K) movie on disc. It does however play movies and TV shows in UHD 4K on aps such as VUDU and Netflix.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Anyone else download the Holiday theme?
I like it.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Ps4 sales at 91.6 million that really seems low though. It was said it was at 86.1 at the end of September and it sold 5.6 million in the holiday seasons that would put it at 91.7 and that dont include October and the 3 weeks of November that are not considered holiday seasons. So I dont get how it could be at 91.6 really like 93-94 would seem more likely.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So more about ps4 sales.
Full Year
2013-4.2m
2014-14.3m
2015-17.4m
2016-17.5m
2017-20.2m
2018-18.0m
Holidays
2013-4.2m
2014-4.1m
2015-5.7m
2016-6.2m
2017-5.9m
2018-5.6m
So 18 had the 4th best holiday out of 6 holidays and 18 was the 2nd best year out of 5 full years. Sales in 2018 where down 2.2 compared to 2017 to be expected with how long the system has been out. I could see the system maybe dropping to 15 million this year that would get it to about 107 by years end. Wonder if ps4 will get a price cut they are kind of over do for one.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Don't see Sony announcing/revealing PlayStation 5 until early 2020. No reason to announce a console 12-18 months out as that's just stupid. Plus, Sony has Days Gone, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part 2. PS4 will easily top 130M and if it has a price drop later this year to $200/$300 Base/Pro, they will have a legitimate shot at surpassing PS2 simply because their yearly average is higher despite the console being more expensive throughout. PS2 lasted 11 years. If PS4 lasts the same, it's easily surpassing PS2 because even when next gen hits, there's always a lot of people who purchase the older consoles because they're cheaper and can rack up a bunch of games for a cheap as hell price. Their average of 18M a year since launch is insane.Comment

dont matter when sony announces ps5 either this year or early next year the vast majority of people know this is coming and that would be the console, if it would not play ps4 games I would agree with you but it will so unless they price it above 400 i see no way ps4 reaches ps2 levels.Comment
