Fall 2020 is most likely but the Switch did prove a spring release works.

Been saying this for a long time and would love this to happen but I see November 2020 as the more likely release date.

That would be a spiderman sequel during the first 20 months or so of ps5 life time that is already pretty good and maybe we could get a ratchet and clank game at launch or something has insomniac does have a good size of people on there team and did start on spiderman before ratchet and clank ps4 even came out. Then we dont known what some of the other studios may be doing after there last ps4 games.
You need to add at least another year to your dates their bud. No chance that Horizon 2 is done in three years. More like early 2022 if anything. Games are going to be taking more years to develop and finish, not less.

3 years is enough time to make a sequel dont need like 4 years to always make a sequel and if ps5 is late 2020 and Horizon 2 comes out than it would be closer to 4 years. If ps5 comes out in November 2020 and Horizon is a launch titled that would be like 3 years and 10 months. If Horizon 2 was early 2022 that would be 5 years this is not Nintendo where like ever Zelda game takes like 5+ years. I think we have a good shot at seeing ps5 this year even if it is at the end of the year being shown and dont come out un till late 2020. I expect we will get at least like a teaser for Horizon 2 this year.

Horizon took over 5 years, almost 7 or 8 if you count the times production was stopped and then restarted. Early 2021 at the soonest but my prediction is early 2022. The first 18 months or so of every gen is slow and takes time to get going.

Dude, you're not seeing PS5 this year and you'll be lucky if you get verified confirmed leaks. Forget anything from Sony. Maybe PSX and even that I don't see happening. Good luck though bud.

Yes I known that Horizon took a while but that a new game being built from the ground up and with a new engine. Horizon 2 being a sequel and being able to reuse the games engine should take a lot less time. Yes normally gens do start off slow but with the time frame with when Horizon came out and with the time frame that spiderman came out there is no reason those 2 games cant be 2020 and 2021. Now like the next Naughty dog game and like the next Santa monica game will most likely not be for a while considering TLOU2 is not even out yet and considering its been just under a year from when GOW came out. We have not seen any thing new from Sony out side of like updates on games we already know about. If we dont see ps5 this year then what is sony going to do this year? Yes I known they have a lot of big games still comming out on ps4 but considering we have not really seen any new games for already a year if Sony dont show any thing this year that would be like 2+ years not showing any thing new that would look extremely bad.

You're not taking into account that Guerrilla Games also worked on the expansion The Frozen Wilds and when you factor in the month or two that im sure they all get off before going into the sequel, it's simply going to be a while. There's going to be high expectations for Horizon 2 and 3 years simply isn't enough time to meet those expectations. Also, Sony gives their studios an insane amount of money, time and resources. If a game needs more time even after 5 years, Sony gives it to them.

As for PlayStation 5, I would say that it's nearly set in stone for Fall 2020. Sony will copy what they did with PS4. Reveal in February 2020. Price, specs, release date and launch titles at E3 2020. September 2020 is a possibility but I see Sony waiting the extra two months to increase production while also giving their launch titles two extra months as well.

Launch title wise, im 100% confident that you will get an exclusive from Guerrilla Games but it won't be Horizon 2. My bet is Killzone 5. They didn't hire the lead designer (if I remember correctly) from Rainbow Six Siege for nothing. Guerrilla Games has also expanded their team. It's around 400 or so now. But there's two teams. One is the primary team that will be working on Horizon 2 and the secondary team which is for Killzone 5.

A studio you could possibly see but is also a wildcard would be their new San Diego Studio which is rumored to be working on a new Uncharted game. I'm hoping for Lost Legacy 2 but rumors say it's Uncharted 5 which if true, lessens the possibility of it being a launch title. I can easily see a Lost Legacy 2 being a launch title since the protagonists would be the same and the majority of assets are already in place but a new title in the main franchise would probably be 2021. Two wildcards that you could see would be Ratchet & Clank 2 from Insomniac Games and possibly, Bloodborne 2 from Japan Studio as Sony owns the IP and From Software has said that they're trying to get away from the SoulsBorne games as they simply want to do new types of souls games - see Sekiro.

While I would love for Sony to have an amazing launch lineup, truth is, they won't need it. Third parties will carry the launch just like they always do. For Fall 2020, im expecting a new Battlefield game, COD 2020, Assassin's Creed returns and the big one im expecting - Cyberpunk 2077 which would probably be cross-gen even though im hoping CDPR goes straight for next gen and says screw current gen.

Sony has at least one unannounced AAA game that is for PS4. Have no idea what it is though. Sony doesn't really need to say anything. They don't need to go on twitter or whatever other social media crap there is for no apparent reason. Sony let's their exclusives which are by far the best in this industry bar none do the talking for them.

Sony has Days Gone in two months which looks even better than it did four months ago. This is going to be an 85+ critically acclaimed game with 10M+ in lifetime sales. Sony also has a few AA games like Dreams which isn't for me but holy crap, the stuff you can create in the game will blow away the majority of what other companies do. They also have Concrete Genie and the MediEvil remake as well as a few PSVR games.

And that's BEFORE Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part 2. Seriously, Sony is simply dominating and don't really need to do anything except prepare for next gen which they're already started doing.

You're worries or concerns are unnecessary, unwarranted and unfounded. Seriously dude, come on. We're not talking about the EA's or Activision's of the world. This is Sony baby. LOL.

I would say its a slim chance like 10% or something but back in 2013 ps4 was first shown in late Feb and came out in November so same year. If ps5 where to come out this year most likely it would be shown some time next month meaning in a few weeks we would get news about like a meeting or something. But its crazy that some people think ps5 is not going to be 2021 or even 2022 no way that would be way to long.

Its good that Sony gives them a lot of time to make there games and I known they also did DLC for Horizon but some of the developers may have already started working on a sequel already that happends a lot where at the end of development or DLC some of the team already moves on to the next game. I do think seeing ps5 at early 2020 and comming out in 2020 is a solid beat but I also think we could have it by early 2020 like how switch came out in early 2017. If like 3 years maybe even closer to 4 years is not enough time for a sequel to Horizon then how could that same time be enough time for them to make a Killzone game that dont make any sense at all. I agree about the stuff about like ratchet and clank and blood born 2 and such.

How do you known they still have another AAA game that has not been shown? Again I understand that Sony has all of those games still for ps4 but we have known about all of those games for like 1+ are they really going to only give us updates on the same games for like 2+ years and show nothing new at all? That would be pretty odd and lame even if ps4 still does have a lot of good/great games to have like nothing new shown for 2+ years meaning like no idea what is to come like post early 2020. Like at some point we need to get some idea of what we might see in 2020 and if ps5 is not shown in 2019 than what are we getting in 2020? If there are still some big unknown games in 2020 we should get news about them this year but with Sony not doing e3 that may be unlikely to get any kind of ps4 2020 games news. Sony is dominating that is true but they are going to want to keep up the momentum and not just like go a year with like nothing comming out.

A verified insider confirmed it on resetera. Others in the first party topic keep talking about it trying to figure out what it could be. Some think it's a game from Japan Studio called RaySpace as the name trademarked a while back. Shu Yoshida also confirmed that they have at least one unannounced AAA game in full development.

What could you possibly expect Sony to show? Except for that one game, all of Sony's games are known. Sony isn't going to talk about or show anything related to PlayStation 5 until 2020. No reason for them to do so.

My guess is that once Days Gone gets released, we'll get more info and a release date for Death Stranding which my bet is September 2019. Early 2020 would be Ghost of Tsushima and June 2020 would be TLOUP2 which would be their swan song ala PS3. Fall 2020 would then be PS5 and the launch titles.

                          April 26th - Days Gone
                          Spring/Summer - MLB 19/Concrete Genie/Dreams/MediEvil/PSVR games
                          September - Death Stranding
Early 2020 - Ghost of Tsushima, MLB 2020 and PS5 reveal
                          June 2020 - E3, PS5 blowout, TLOUP2
                          Fall 2020 - PS5 launch

That's a realistic timeline even though you could probably swap any of the three major exclusives after Days Gone. Don't really know what more you or any Sony PlayStation 4 fan could want.

I asked this in the Android thread in another forum but this may be more relevant since it has to do with PS4:

Does anyone here have the Sony Xperia XZ3 phone? I have been looking at these phones, more specifically for the use of remote play with my PS4. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any first hand experience with the phone and can speak to how good/bad it is.

That's a realistic timeline even though you could probably swap any of the three major exclusives after Days Gone. Don't really know what more you or any Sony PlayStation 4 fan could want.

Honestly the only thing I’m 100 percent certain I’m buying here is LOU2. Can’t believe how long we have waited for this title. I got too much on my plate gaming wise over the next few months to pick up Days gone at launch. Might check it out eventually.

That dont mean that its not comming out this year or at least being shown though they could do there own meeting thing like before e3 or show ps5 at PlayStation experience or something.
