This is really strange and I don't know if we've seen this before. Let me ask around on my team to see what's up.

?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.

OK, can you make sure your audio settings on the X1 and Xbox One are aligned? Either set your X1 to Stereo (my recommendation unless you need surround sound), or enable the beta Surround Sound option in Live TV troubleshooting.

Just try to match them up. Someone on the Live TV team has an X1 and they think this is the issue.

I believe that worked. Haven't seen it stutter since. Also, it could have been my HDMI cable as I did change it out. Either way i will keep an eye on this issue. It just seems like the HDMI input is not tightly securing the cable, which doesn't seem normal.

Thanks for your help especially that late or early into the morning.

NP. I agree the HDMI ports are a bit more loose than we want them to be. I've given that feedback to the HW team several times, so that may improve in future HW revisions.

Anyway, we definitely got a lot of Beta feedback for changing to channel numbers. We're considering adding it back, but there are 2 counterpoints:
            1) It's really easy to get channel numbers wrong via voice.
            2) We believe that channel numbers will become a thing of the past and users will think about things in terms of content and providers. However, we might be ahead of the curve and we may need to add numbers back to ease folks in.

Better DVR integration is definitely something we've also brainstormed a lot about.
No One yet (thinking about it though, can only do one console this gen I thinK).

Thanks for all your input, it's these features that may push me towards Xbox One. My wife could even learn to use them easier I think.

I don't know most channel numbers anymore, I'd use the "tune in ESPN2" or whatever, for what it's worth....

DVR integration somehow would be cool, but as a developer myself I struggle to figure out how you could do it easily lol. Good luck!

studbucket, first I just want to say thanks for all your info, it's really awesome what you're doing here. I've found my tv picture quality isn't quite as crisp going through the One as it is when it's hooked directly to the tv. The quality isn't bad, but the difference is noticeable. Is that just how it is when using a pass through system, or am I missing a setting either on the One or my satellite receiver? My receiver is a DirecTV HDDVR if that makes a difference.

                I'm happy to help.

We definitely shouldn't be doing any harm to passthrough, but I have seen a few reports of this.

Could you try setting your STB to output 720p instead of 1080i?

Alternatively, sometimes having Dolby or Surround Sound on *can* impact video quality, but I don't think that's the issue here.

How do you start over on your TV setup? I didn't have my cable box connected to my Xbox1.

I unchecked all the resolutions except 720p on the DTV receiver, and also turned off the Dolby Digital output, but it didn't seem to help. I was messing around with the settings on the One, and changed the Color Space to PC (RGB full) under Display & Sound, and it did get better.

If you want to truly start over, you can go to Settings -> TV & OneGuide ->Troubleshooting -> Reset TV settings.

However, if you just want to go through certain parts of setup again, you can go to the OneGuide or Devices sections instead of troubleshooting.

Ah, that makes sense. Was it YCC or something else previously? RGB does behave the best.

The picture shows up but none of the DVR commands work.....Voice, gesture, or controller.

The white DVR control bar shows up at the bottom of the screen, but when I select sometime it doesn't work. Can't change channels either.

The only two options are TV (RGB limted) or PC (RGB full), I had it on the TV setting since I thought the other option was just for PC monitors or something, but decided to give it a shot and it worked.

OK, so it sounds like you don't have the right IR codeset for your STB. Can you let me know the make & model and your provider?

Back in June during the one reveal conference one of the speakers put on the heat game and said "Xbox, Lebron james" and then all of lebron's stats popped up on the screen. Has anyone tried that?? Does it work?
