I never would have thought about it until i used the sony service on the ps4 when they had the free 30 day trial. I kinda liked it during certain games - racing, sports, arcade games such as resogun. The only issue with that was i thought music unlimited was pretty awful compared to the other choices out there.

Now i subscribe to rdio, and xbox is the only system i can use it on by snapping IE, though I rarely do anymore. I wouldnt put it as a must have like some, but it would be something I would be happy to have. However they likely would only make music apps play in the background, not sure if they would make it work for IE.

I never would use a cable connection. I have two controllers and one battery pack. If the one I'm using dies while playing (which hasn't happened once in over a year) I would switch to the battery one while the other charges.

Related, after using my Xbox One controller at a LAN a good chunk of last weekend I might finally get my second, but for my PC . So long, OG wired Xbox 360 controller, you were a good PC gamepad for a long time.
Can I plug the Xbox One controller in with the cable to a PC or do you need a wired Xbox One controller? These are by far the best PC controllers though, IMO.

There's no wired 1st party Xbox One controller that I'm aware of, just need to plug it in and it worked (windows 7, 8 and 10 machines were all using Xbox One controllers).

I remembered hearing driver support was poor at launch, that must have been resolved at some point. Rumble and all worked well in Iron Brigade.

Awesome! Might just use my backup Xbox One controller as that now if I ever play on PC. Or when Windows 10 comes out and I want to stream.

At that point I could see myself getting a new laptop setup that would stream better and replace my old desktop too.

                I use these:

                http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Recha...=operasport-20

                I can go about 3 weeks until they die, playing 2-3 hours/day & 5-6 days/week.

I got these about five years ago: http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-2000m...+precharged+AA

I'd say on average I used them 15 hours per week over their lifetime, nowadays 1-3 hours, 5-6 days per week, change them out every three weeks or so.

I can go 2 weeks without charging my batteries and I use the console a lot. I got tired of buying Duracells and bought myself some Panasonic rechargeable batteries.

I need to dig out my rechargeable ones again, but I just buy cheapo batteries at Costco and that works for me. A huge pack of AA batteries isn't bad and lasts me over a year usually, with all my battery needs not just gaming.

I bought mine for $17 including the charger and that's for 4 rechargeable batteries that can be recharged 2100 times. Not bad at all.

Was going to put this in the PS4 thread, but will put it here I suppose.

People demanding the arbitrary 1080p/60fps are going to be pretty disappointed this generation it seems:

As someone who played through The Evil Within twice on 480p in order to eliminate the black bars, I could care less about 60fps. I care more about if the gameplay is good. Visuals are secondary (if that) to me.

To be honest, I'd take 900p with graphical effects and 60 FPS over 1080 30 FPS anyday, but that's just me. A game at a lower resolution, great textures with no jaggies and solid framerate is better IMO. The ideal thing would be for 1080 60 always, but that's not always easy.
