If that's the point you would have made first I would have agreed with you.

To use your own wording though both consoles are inferior relative to most mid-range gaming PCs, the differentiator is exclusivity and accessibility.

Mestevo, maybe you should click on the link that I provided. Since you so wrongly compare the new consoles to a mid-range PC.
      Here it's is again.

I had read it. Nothing in the article contradicts me. Are you really pretending any directx12 gains don't apply to PCs?

By the 'end of this generation' a 'mid-range' PC will far outclass consoles whether they can render frodo in real-time or not - as they do now in many respects.

My 6+ year old processor and 5+ year old video card (i7 920, 5870) will be able to run much of what is released this console generation.

PC has already 4k gaming, ps4 and Xbox one have only a couple games 1080 p. For ps4 controller I would say u have to buy thumbsticks covers. Xbox one is a entertainment system, many using gaming console for Netflix,Hulu and other. Ps4 is a pure gaming console. Xbox live is better has better service, servers are only down for a day.
I think both consoles are equally, the only question u have to ask witch excusive game u like more halo,Forza, fable(Xbox) or uncharted, last of us,gran turismo(ps) And then what have ur buddy's for a console?

As a PS 3 owner I'm thinking about getting my an Xbox one, it's pretty cheap but no intriguing exclusives at this point.

The 349.99 with extra controller is a nice deal on Amazon that Best Buy matches

Also Walmart has 349.99 with Halo MCC

I'll see if I can find it but some place was doing up to $50 off which included systems.

This is actually a good deal. Xbox One with AC Unity/Black Flag digital codes for $315 after using the promo code. Free shipping and depending on the state, could be no sales tax either.

If it wasn't for the fact that I have $266 in Best Buy credit going towards an Xbox One, I would have jumped on this for $315.

So I now own both, and one thing I do like that the PS4 does which the XB1 doesn't do is download games in rest mode.

I thought it was enabled by default? In the power and startup menu if you have "Instant On" as the power mode, there is a checkbox for "automatically download updates and purchases."

Don't know where to put this, but it's a great read nonetheless.

Gaming is one of the best uses for a 4K TV, right? Or is it? We check out the pros and cons.

I am playing nba and madden along with COD and Witcher 3 on xbox one and have those same games on ps4 for a long time now except witcher and it feels new and fresh on xbox one.

I love the xbox one controller. Just the fact that the sticks are off center makes a world of a difference to me. The rumbel is fantastic in madden when getting hit you feel weight to players and cross overs in nba 2k feel weighty

THe gap has been reduced in multi plats and right now I enjoy the exclusives on ps4 like bloodborne but am making the xbox one my sports console and ps4 everything else except shooters

Xbox one is going to win May as well with the white xbox one console releasing the 25th but next month the ps4 will take it with the batman console.
NOTE: The above quote was copied and pasted from the PlayStation 4 discussion as it was becoming an Xbox One vs PS4 topic.

Haven't been bored at all with the PS4 thus far. I'm at a steady pace for games each month and would be more if the Indie/PSN titles that I want to purchase and play through would go on sale to $10 but it seems like Axiom Verge is set at $20 for six months and im not sure when Shovel Knight will go on sale to $10. Basically, im just waiting for them as well as Zombie Army Trilogy to go on sale to $20 or less. $50 is too high in my opinion for a digital only game. $20 for Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is good but I haven't played The New Order yet as im waiting for that to go on sale to $20 because in case I don't get into it, the loss is minimal.

Bought Bloodborne at launch but traded it in because I didn't play it due to me being involved in NFL mock off-seasons on another website. That basically took three weeks of March and all of April. Will be buying it back at some point this summer as I definitely want to play it. Purchased The Witcher III this past Tuesday and it's an excellent game even though there's bugs and glitches in it regardless of what console you're playing it on.

It's sad, The Order can get bashed for being a short game (took me around 14 hours or so) and have no bugs or glitches whatsoever and yet, games that do including Witcher, AC Unity, Halo: MCC, etc. seem to go ignored by reviewers and websites. None of it gets mentioned or exposed until the real testers (i.e. us gamers) experience them for ourselves.

Nevertheless, im enjoying The Witcher thus far and it will keep me busy until Batman. Also purchased AC Chronicles China for $10 but haven't had the chance to play it yet. I figured that for $10, even if it's in the 7 range for me, it's okay. Any higher then $10, I would have waited.

As for sports games, I stopped playing them a LONG time ago. I'll buy and play Madden every year but every year, it's lasts a week at most if that and I then trade it in and move on. Have no interest in NBA, MLB or NHL so regardless of what console they're best on, it means nothing to me whatsoever.

I easily prefer the PS4 controller over the Xbox One controller. Just wish that developers would take better advantage of the touchpad and that there was an option to turn off the light bar. The Xbox One controller isn't bad at all except for one major thing that turned me off from the start - the vibration. I hate it and the simple fact that there's no option to turn it off pisses me off more than anything. Played through chapter III in Ryse and was honestly enjoying the game but I couldn't play for long periods of time due to the controller vibrating.

As good as both consoles have been, both need to add in some basic options for several features. An on/off option for the light bar and the vibration should have been available since day one.

Yeah, Xbox One (and Xbox brand in general) will always be the FPS console. FPS are my least favorite genre and while im playing more of them than I used to, the game has to be good and not in a war zone like COD and BF normally are.

Multi-platform wise, both are basically the same. It just comes down to visuals but I would much rather play on PS4 for two reasons - I prefer the DS4 with no vibration and that the games I want to play usually have exclusive content on PS4.

The white Xbox One came out already. I'm still expecting the Xbox One to get a price drop to $300 at E3 in three weeks but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't.

I honestly do think that May will go to Sony but it will be like April, a win by a small margin and nothing to really take notice off.

Either way, three more weeks to go until E3. Can't wait!!!
