Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
So i saw that Micro Center lowered the price on the ASUS 27 inch 4k hdr1000 gsync monitor at 144hz to $1199
I got to the store and bought it and notice it was the last one after seeing they had 3 early that morning on the website.
I get home and notice that the enclosed screw that you twist on the base of the legs is missing so i cannot screw the base legs to the monitor
So frustrating for this to be the case and now they sold out
Not sure if I should hold on to it until they get more in to avoid a price increase as i get 30 days to return it
Last thing I want to do is return it and wait for a new one that when it arrives they put the price back to $1500Comment

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
I know right? But I seen some videos on it and most new games support it. Seeing how Madden 20 and NBA 2K20 look on it blew my mind and Fifa as wellComment

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
Quick question - looking to add a monitor to my office setup to replace an old 24" (I have a three monitor setup - this will be my primary). I'm looking to use my PS4 Pro with it, and I have a LG 27UK600-W on hold on Best Buy as an open box for $200.
I saw all of the positive reviews from last year/early this year, is this still a solid pick with 4k and HDR being the primary requirements.Comment

Great 4K SDR monitor. If you want a real HDR monitor it’ll cost you a lot more. I’ve disabled HDR on mine since I noticed SDR looks a lot better and less washed out on these monitors.

[/LEFT]Yeah, so 29" ultrawide @1080p vs. 4k non-ultrawide, if it's all PS4 Pro - I would think the 4k would win out at a 18" or so viewing distance.Comment

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
I went with the LG 27UL600-W at Best Buy on an open box, it's a bit more than I wanted to spend, and I debated getting the 32" Dell that's $350 (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-32...?skuId=6375331)
The 27UL600 was $375 open box, but I wasn't sure if 32" would be too big for my primary work monitor and I didn't want the drop in resolution.
Any thoughts? I have two weeks to take it back, no PC gaming, just PS4 Pro and work.Comment

These 1440p and free sync 4k monitors are only great for xbox one x
The LG you got is great for the PRO in SDR mode as it is 4k and the pro upscales to 4kComment

I tried a 32 inch monitor at first and it felt too big. I think 27 inch is the sweet spot.

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
My only thought is that I could get the UK600-W for about $150 cheaper, just without a stand. I was thinking I could just pickup a VESA 100x100 stand and save some cash. Any ideas the difference between the two and whether it's worthwhile?
Also, what do you guys typically use for speakers?Comment
