If you return too many things then yeah the company going to think you are some sort of scammer. So yeah you return a lot if the system red flags you. Stores also lose money on returns.

 Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

We can never go back once we started on gaming desks situated with a nice BenQ.A couple years ago I got my BenQ gaming monitor (xl2720z model) and it just changed the way I enjoy gaming. Games look amazing on my monitor and the response time / input lag is amazing. I had my old Sammy 1080p TV hooked up still at the time and I would switch back and forth between the two and I just really preferred the experience on a monitor and haven't gone back since.

I game on a computer desk, in a small room. That also affects it. If I was in a large living room maybe I would still have a TV I would use to game on while I relax on a couch.Comment

 Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

Best Buy did not deny my return, and for the record I never returned for cash it was for another version or model of what i had bought.

Mostly it was for more expensive items so they made more money from me if that even matters

I returned that crap curved samsung low light monitor and got the Samsung 4K monitor that has 375 nits and 1 ms response time

 It is fantasticComment

 Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

I'm in the market for a new monitor also and looking closely at an ultrawide for a greater immersion factor. I only plan to get a GTX 1070 though which is borderline for some of today's games so future AAA might struggle.

Anyone have an ultrawide and what do you think of it? My biggest concern is I still like to play old games so I'll probably have a letterbox look at times.Comment

 Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

I was thinking about getting a new 4k monitor but I start looking and I see the monitors have been dragged into the GPU wars as well with this freesync vs. G-sync crap. Awesome, of course, as an Nvidia card owner, the G-Sync monitors all cost an arm and a leg.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

What exactly do you mean the 1070 is borderline? That thing is a tankI'm in the market for a new monitor also and looking closely at an ultrawide for a greater immersion factor. I only plan to get a GTX 1070 though which is borderline for some of today's games so future AAA might struggle.

 Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

1440p ultrawide lies between 1440p and 4k and some AAA titles it can only get to 50-55 fps on ultra so borderline at ultra for some titles right now might mean lesser for future ones.

Obviously can lower certain areas to get a higher fps but that's all I meant.Comment
