I thought NMS was confirmed for PSVR, it was just PC VR that was up in the air?

Re: PS VR
Space 'requirements' for PSVR. Recommending a ~10x6 foot area but probably unnecessary for most titles.Attached FilesComment

Re: PS VR
Those are Max requirements for safety, etc.. You can be 2 feet from the camera and it will still work.
Do not get nervous and think you need that much room. It is mainly the cover their *** scenario.
The Best Buy and Gamestop demo spaces were way smaller than that. And at the Best Buy I went to, people's backs were against the used game shelving, lol.

Re: PS VR
Especially if you're using the controller, which sounds like a lot of the experiences for the time being.
The jp blog last night also confirmed Driveclub VR as a launch title, made by the original devs (makes you wonder when, since their studio is closed).
Sony will release a virtual reality version of Driveclub just in time for the launch of its PlayStation VR platform on October 13th. Driveclub VR will feature new tracks, including a city one (pictured above) and let players view vehicles from multiple angles while they trade paint. The news came on Sony's Japanese site, so it's not yet known if it will arrive with the PSVR in other territories (the blog post has now been pulled, so it may have been published prematurely). Interestingly, other details were tweeted by Paul "Rushy" Rustchynsky, a developer for Codemasters.Comment

Re: PS VR
Also, Evolution Studios isn't closed, they are with Codemasters now. I think there was a deal worked out between Sony, Evolution Studios, and Codemasters. Sony 100% shut down Evolution, and said they wanted to offer it's employees positions in other studios, then suddenly Evolution is joining Codemasters retaining the Evolution name and their offices. Wouldn't surprise me if doing DriveclubVR was part of that.Comment

Re: PS VR
I'm not. Sony isn't quick to kill studios, Evolution had seen a rash of disappointing releases, from Arctic Edge not living up to it's console siblings, to Apocalypse flopping, mediocre Motorstorm RC, then Driveclub's broken launch, I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did. I'm not sure how fair it is to expect more than they got from PSP and Vita releases, and Apocalypse hurt by the Japanese earthquake, but in the end those contributed to a weak bottom line for Evolution.Comment

Sales wise, MotorStorm hit almost 4m and while the series declined, they rebounded with Drive Club which sold over 2m not including digital. Sony should have kept them and let them continue to build DLC's for Drive Club. I was hoping for an off-road DLC with pickups like the old NES Super Off Road racing games.
I think with Gran Turismo around the corner, Sony decided that Evolution was expendable. I just don't like that they will give some studios like Team Ico a decade for TLG but can't give Evolution a chance at developing DLC's for what turned out to be an excellent racing game? Drive Club ended up outselling two of the three Forza games this generation which is definitely impressive in my opinion since Forza is a well established franchise.
I just think that Sony should have kept them as they were starting to get back to being good again and on the right track (no pun intended). Oh well.
Drive Club VR is said to be good so hopefully, it turns out that way.Comment

Re: PS VR
Metacritic doesn't matter, Sony is a business and they can't keep pumping money into a studio that isn't making any back.
I interesting you mention sales, but then skip over nearly a decade of games not producing, Apocalypse sold like 500k copies, RC underperformed, that's like 6 years worth of shooting blanks.
Driveclub may have eventually sold 2 million, but that doesn't change the expense they had to go through to fix the game.
I feel like I've had this same conversation before with Zipper, just because they did something you like, doesn't make them a profitable enough developer for Sony to keep investing in.Comment

Re: PS VR
Let's also not forget Evolution Studios was picked up by Codemasters. There's a very good chance we'll still get another awesome game down the road along the lines of Motorstorm or DriveClub.
It's the best of both worlds. It makes complete sense Sony dumped them and it makes complete sense Codemasters picked them up. In the end, the gamer wins.Comment

Re: PS VR
I'm actually cool with this idea that all DS4s will operate VR games. If developers wish to add additional support such as the PS VR Aim Controller (ie Farpoint), then it's just another option to use.
I wonder why we haven't heard any support for the Move Support Sharp-Shooter that was available for the PS3? This gun had additional buttons that you could play with. Wonder if this will work too?
Edit: Actually reading the comments in the link, Impulse Gear confirmed it won't
