I think FIFA will look and play amazingly well on the Switch. And since it is more of an international sport, there are better odds that it will sell through more thoroughly.

Right now, the Switch is mostly my wife's console. But if they can get sports, and for the love of god a baseball game, on the console, it's going to be 1000X more attractive to me as a mobile platform. I'll play Zelda, mate, and other Nintendo staples at home. But taking sports on the road would be really, really nice.

Hard to say at this point, all we know is that they won't be straight ports of the current titles like the Wii / Wii U titles. That was both good and bad, hopefully they're great.

Yeah, I hope Tekken 7 comes. The others (at least some of the MvC games, some I did) I don't enjoy but I hope every 3rd-party game gets released on all systems, so I'm with you.



Do you have a 2016 Samsung? HDMI-CEC is a known issue on 2016 Samsungs, especially playing nice with the Switch.

Yes I have the Samsung ks8000 55 inch since about mid November now and I did google and found some stuff about it and I thought it would be fixed if you turn that option off on the switch but it is not. Switch is the only one that does this. My Ps3, ps4, wii, wiiu, cable box, gamecube, 4k player don't auto switch in less I have the system fully on. If I have them in sleep mode it doesn't happened only the switch does this.

This console and more importantly, Nintendo again, have taken over my gaming life.

The Switch is so well done and I'm obsessed with Zelda...Shovel Knight on the Switch is the best it's ever been IMO and Snipperclips is a blast to play with my wife, daughter, and other family.

Binding of Isaac drops this week and I CANNOT wait to jump back into it..MK8 Deluxe is right around the corner too.

I haven't touched Horizon in days....don't even have the urge to turn my PS4 on. Persona and Mass Effect, etc. are hitting soon....and I could really care less.

The Nintendo rabbit hole has captured me yet again.....

Lol I'm the complete opposite. Besides Zelda there's no reason for me to turn on the Switch. This console is so bare bones and why is the UI 720p when docked? I got this console for my son. Maybe it's me but I don't see what the big hype is about. Maybe when more actually good games come out I'll enjoy it more, but for now I'm not too hyped for this console. Hopefully as they add more stuff, bring more games and update their network I'll be a little more excited for the switch.

Well I'm a Nintendo fanboy to be clear lol.....

Honestly though, this system is just awesome and the customizable aspects of it are revolutionary IMO and really give us options we haven't had before.

It also suits my lifestyle (married, young child, travels a lot for work) to a T....

I did but it didn't really catch me....was disappointed by it in a lot of respects. Software, esp. first party, was amazing though.

Funny thing....didn't play MK8 nor Splatoon so I'm super excited they're coming to Switch.

This is probably how a lot of Nintendo fans are feeling and why Switch with Zelda of course is making them feel that way. Wii U had some good exclusives but launch was horrible, no true Mario game and Zelda was at the end when the system was already dead.

I'm hoping for SM3DW and DKCTF to get Switch ports. Nintendo should port over every one of their Wii U exclusives to Switch. It gives them a chance to spread out their exclusives while giving them a second chance at retail for those who didn't play them or for those who didn't own a Wii U. Also, would give them something to release every three months while developing games that are a ways off.

I have the same exact TV and I'm having the same issue. I have to disconnect the HDMI from the TV when I'm not playing or else it will keep changing the input. Hopefully there's some type of fix for it soon.

I'm reading about it now in various forums and it seems if you actually turn off the Nintendo (as in a hard off, not a soft sleep mode) then you won't have to unplug it.

Not bulky at all IMO and does a good job of feeling like your switch is protected. I wouldn't be worried if I dropped my switch in this case, and I can't say the same with some of the softer varieties

Thanks Doug! It seems like a fairly solid case, I'll return the Nintendo soft case then. I picked up the RDR one from Walmart and it seems to be fairly solid.

When I dock the tablet I hold the power button down until all lights turn off. Am I not completely powering down the unit?

This brings me back to one thing I found odd when unboxing the thing. No instructions included besides the little info printed outside the box.

From a Polygon article here is how they say to turn it completely off

Hold down the power button on the top of the screen for around five seconds

You’ll see a menu that offers you sleep mode or power options, select power options

You can then choose to restart or turn off the system. Choose to turn it off.
