I mean, I shouldn't be surprised because it's Nintendo, but the fact that you can't carry your Animal Crossing save file over to another Switch console is ridiculous.

My wife picked me up a Switch Lite for our anniversary. I can move pretty much my entire digital library over to the Lite and have it be my primary console and still use the OG Switch when I want to play in docked mode, but I cannot do this with Animal Crossing. I can move the game over, but not the save file, as that's tied to the OG Switch. So, if I want to play Animal Crossing on the Lite, I'll have to start all over at the beginning.

Animal Crossing ties the game save to the system you are using. No file sharing allowed, so even if you are replacing a system, you are SOL.

Other games, you can pretty seamlessly (well, for Nintendo) move save files between Switches with no issues.

A lot of reports of Nintendo accounts being compromised, Nintendo recommending everyone turn on 2-factor auth as they start to look into it.

Unrelated, I forgot about the whole voucher thing when Nintendo Online launched, just redeemed one for Animal Crossing.

I tried getting into Stardew Valley, but I just got overwhelmed right off the bat and set it down.

I was into it heavy for a while but forget all about it so it feels intimidating to get back into

After a lot of back and forth internal discussions, I finally went ahead and picked up a Switch Lite. Went with the yellow color (didn't have a strong preference either way) - it was one of the GameStop Minecraft bundles that was still in stock. I have no interest in Minecraft, but it was basically thrown into the bundle for free along with a memory card, case and screen protector.

The thing is definitely light! It really doesn't have much weight to it, especially when compared with the OG Switch. All of the comments about it being more comfortable than the OG are true; I was skeptical of that with the size and weight difference, but it really sits nicely in the hands and in my limited experience with it, haven't experienced any discomfort.

The OG Switch will now reside permanently in the dock. Whenever we can travel again, it'll be nice to take the Lite with me.

Ok. My son found/saw a video of someone using Luigi in mario odyssey, he didn’t care he like Mario.....but my younger guy caught wind of this video and is on a mission to keep bugging Dad to unlock this for him......

I googled this and saw videos of how to do it but supposedly these videos are fake ?

The video my son showed me looked legit and actually had Luigi running around playing the game, sounds and all, it wasn’t mario in the Luigi costume.......it was legit Luigi.

Any help here ?

To actually control Luigi in the game you’d have to mod your system.

Just weighing in to say that I'm currently addicted to Dragon's Dogma on Switch.

I bought it at release and liked it, but the past 3 weeks or so have really gotten into it, and it is a masterpiece.

I finally created a character and pawn combo I liked - I'm playing as the Zombie Mountain from Game of Thrones with Qyburn as my healing mage...just running through the countryside and ransacking everyone as a strong asf Warrior build.

Having spent close to 2 weeks with the Switch Lite, I can't recommend this option enough.

I never had a real issue playing the OG Switch in handheld mode, but honestly the Switch Lite is such an upgrade in terms of comfort and overall feel that unless I had to, I wouldn't go back to the OG Switch for handheld gaming. I think the smaller size, not having joy-cons (the Switch Lite is one unit, so you don't get the wobbly feel that the joy-cons would create) and textured feel all combine for just a great experience; I've played for several hours in a sitting and never experienced any discomfort.

Not having rumble isn't an issue for me and I honestly haven't missed the feature at all. The smaller screen also slightly improves the look of games thanks to the compressed pixel density.

I did pick up a tempered glass screen cover (same company I used for the OG Switch) and a carrying case, but that's it in terms of accessories.

I've mostly been playing Animal Crossing, but have spent some time with R.B.I. Baseball 20 and still working my way through The Witcher 3.
