Seems like it's half baked in order to get Zelda out before the end of the fiscal year for Nintendo. (I read an article somewhere talking about that earlier but no link now).

Better off waiting a while for it to get tweaked IMO

Seriously...people always say "then wait for the reviews" and then if they're bad they're not valid?

I think it'll be a great system, we'll see how software goes and if they can fully bake it.

it is a motion sensing controller, like the other two i mentioned that have issues, and every other motion sensing type of controller - kinect, ds4/ps camera, etc. Needs some sort of line of sight or near field type of connection. If it used 2.4ghz or bluetooth, then yes it would be an issue.

Joycons use bluetooth, the connection issues have nothing to do with motion controls.

I am still buying......because I have kids and GF is a Nintendo freak, but I am not going to pretend that the issues that reviews have touched on and the Joycon don't exist. Looking forward to trying out Zelda, but if not for the kids, I wouldn't be buying this on release day for basically one game for 300 bucks and a system that sounds like it was on the market about 6 months too early.

That would be great...i'll have one eventually for my son, but he's too young now (would probably throw it when frustrated lol) so gotta give him time to learn patience.

My wife will actually play Mario Kart too, so want one for that eventually. I can get Zelda in a year or whenever i get one. I'll be interested in the connection issues though, that seems really brutal.

Like I said... RUSHED.

Definitely a shame because if Nintendo would have waited until September, the overall package would be so much better and more enticing plus the wait between Zelda and Mario would have been minimal.

If I can pick up one on Friday, I will just so I know I have it and if not, I'll just wait. It's not like I don't have any other games to play. LOL.

EDIT: WTF? Why is the word "rushed" censored? Am I missing something?

Several reports say the Pro Controller works natively with a PC. That would be awesome if true.

That's a feature for sure...especially when the controller is like 70 bucks (right?) More expensive than other systems...annoying for sure.

Going to let this all settle and eventually it'll be a smart family option.
