tried out the rider last night

WELL worth it

Gives you really cool stuff and its different every day meaning i used the amiibo at 11pm then at 1am and it replenish itself in a day.

I had zero room in my apartment to display them and cleaned off a shelf to make room for both the Switch and the Amiibos so they can be front and center.

I bought the Wolf Link (twilight princess) and Archer Link (BotW) when I picked up the game.

I just ordered Bokoblin, Rider Link, Zelda and the Guardian from BotW and also ordered the Super Smash Bros. Zelda one.

I have a ps4pro, OneS and a Wii U. I already have Mario kart 8. The problem with switch for me is it offers nothing new. I'd be paying 300 bucks to wait on Mario odyssey.


And I don't understand the girl and 50 bucks analogy at all. Haha.

Ok so maybe i can explain it better

You have a girlfriend that you sorta like and love because she can cook dinner

But you know a girl whove youve flirted with and she looks all sorts of hot

because of your loyalty to your girlfriend you dont ever go forward on any advance or sign that this new hot girl gives you.

A few months goes by and you see the hot girl with a guy.

She tell's you

"you could have had me"

Deep huh?

If it doesnt match then you have to consider what kind of gamer you are too.

Do i just want one system? do i not want nintendo ip's? I mean if you have a PS4 your'e on board with sony exclusives the way you'd be on board with nintendo ones once they come out and they are this year. starting with zelda then mario kart 8 then splatoon2 then fire emblem warriors and then mario odyssey

Many ppl here and around too many times dont have the confidence of trying something new and maybe actually liking it or loving it.

Imagine tyhere was this girl you always liked but didnt want to ask her out becuase you didnt have say 50 bux to take her out to a movie etc(really strecthing the example here but it still holds true)

You wouldnt know if next time she'd pay and then have it so that youd get something nice in return.

Your love for Nintendo is relentless. None of what you just said made any sense really. So now if I don't buy a Switch it's because I don't have the confidence in trying something new? Yeah it has nothing to do with the complete lack of games at launch or the fact that Nintendo hasn't had a healthy third party library in how many years? The same company that bailed on the WiiU while offering little to no support on top of it leaving their paying customer base holding the bag with a paper weight that lost it's luster quickly. You can love the system and Nintendo all day, nothing wrong with that, but to act like anyone who didn't buy it simply didn't due to lack of "confidence" is ridiculous and I could sit here and say the only reason you did buy it is because of your blind love and Nintendo can do no wrong attitude. I had a WiiU and I already played Mario Kart 8 so that isn't a selling point, I'm not a big Zelda fan at all so for me we get Nintendo systems for Mario and not much else, I see no Mario game so my Wife and I had zero interest.

As for comparing PS4 and the Switch, I do enjoy the Sony exlcusives but they also boast a robust third party library of games that I also enjoy, the same can't be said for Nintendo.

As for the whole asking a girl out analogy, that made even less sense.

Ricky is contemplating buying a switch but has a wii u already(said reliable girlfriend that cooks dinner= feeding him with his wii games he already has and doesnt have to go out for or whould have to give up and now find food again when there might not be any homecooking anymore for him)

Maybe its me "interjecting that the Switch is better than the wii U due to the hot girl analogy?

But i would like to make one thing clear

I wouldnt have bought a Switch if Zelda hadnt come out for it and if i already had a wii u or 3ds

I dont have a wii u or a 3ds so me getting a switch was me getting a nintendo console again.

If they launched with shatoon 2 a fire emblem game or JUST mario kart 8 deluxe i wouldnt have

id say this

Zelda can be had through Wii U Cemu and Switch

Cemu would give you the best framerate.

Wii U makes you only spend 60 but its the last game
you'll be getting on Wii U

Switch makes you spend 360 but now you're set going forward and with tax season spending that kind of money is easier then during the holiday

It's launch. If you have the money and plan on picking one up, do it. You won't be disappointed (especially if you pick up a pro controller.) Zelda on the Switch is fantastic.

If you are waiting, then wait until it's right for you. No reason to rush out and buy something you don't necessarily want too much right now - especially since it isn't a cheap little thing that everyone will just have that kind of money lying around.

It, unlike the WiiU and the perception of it, is a quality console. Everything about it just feels light years beyond the WiiU (both in terms of build quality and perception.)

It's a shame Virtual Console stuff isn't out yet, but that was never a major selling point for me (meaning: I know it's coming and with Zelda and the games that are coming in the near future I know I'll get more than my money's worth out of it already.)

I'm about to cave, even though I know I'll regret it due to lack of support.

My wii u will have to remain, at least until the virtual console takes off on the switch. We have way too many classic games that we play and enjoy.

It's not a knock on the switch , it's just that beyond zelda, the launch lineup just stunk. They could have had a grand slam If they had just launches with 5 or so additional good game options from a variety of genres.

I have an x1s (2 of them), ps4 pro, and the Wii u. I have no console bias. I have a buying problem when it comes to new tech. With that said, I'm still finding it hard to buy RIGHT NOW, due to the fact that there is zelda and nothing more that I care about til mario odyssey comes out.

Just because it's tax season doesn't mean it's a good time to blow money on things that you're borderline on picking up. I have to pay in, after paying a LOT of taxes through the year. But even if I got a refund, frivolous spending would not be a good strategy just because you have it.

While I am infatuated with Zelda and thus, because of Zelda, love my Switch, I definitely agree with you here.

Zelda might be the best launch game ever, and I wonder if they just banked on that being enough to compensate for lack of other standout titles at launch?

The official US Launch lineup sucks (outside of Zelda obviously) because 1-2 Switch and multiplayer games like that have zero interest for me (even if it was a pack in I'd never touch it.)

However, Japan store (can be bought/played on US console, many with English options) has Metal Slug 3 (in English) which is a classic, King of Fighters 98 (in English), Disgaea 5 and all DLC (in English, strategy RPG.) Blaster Master 0 is already out in Japan as well (comes out next week I think?)

Not excusing their launch lineup, but there are actually quite a few fun games and that's not including stuff like Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth and that kind of stuff that will be out pretty quickly.

I love this zelda and all, but there is no way in hell I would buy this console with just zelda (especially since I could play it in the wii u) for 300+. If not for GF and kids, I would have waited until Mario something came out or at least the Virtual Console .

I like you am REALLY hoping we get good VC and good AAA titles.

No VC at launch makes me happy though because I feel or at leats i REALLY hope that means nintendo is taking their time to make those VC game(gamecube and ALL!) actually ported over with somesort added bonus like better screen ratioing or fidelity even...

But that wishful thinking i know its prob more of the same trick that apple does and says "if we give them like 5 games and nothing else theyll HAVE TO buy whatever we give out cuz one or two titles are too ltttile an theyll get bored and want to buy our shovelware again"
