If I were a Switch owner I'd be unhappy about this. I'd want to see this ecosystem phased out and folded into Switch.

You'd rather they move fully toward's Switch, but I think that's more a case of wanting a cheaper 3DS XL (without 3D) cause those still sell like hotcakes too. Maybe both can exist in the ecosystems?

I'd rather they release a version of the Switch w/ a similar form factor and a DS card slot.

They are two different price points though. I think that's why they will both exist. Abandoning the ds line and replacing it with a more expensive model would be an awful look. Even by Nintendos standards.

It's about offering people a cheaper way to access that library of games. People have children that want to play those portable systems that they may not want to hand a $300+ investment switch to. That's the way I look at it. This is a great bridge for that audience that shouldn't hurt the switch.

Alright, joining the Switch Crew! Picked one up from Amazon yesterday, will deliver Tuesday. Will get Zelda (physical), MK8, Binding of Isaac, and Snipperclips all digital.
So exicted for this!!! Normally I wait longer to get a console, but with my current work and home schedule there have been so many times the past few months where I was thinking I could be playing the switch. Will mainly use this as a portable.

Played 8 50cc races and won two cups. Game looks and performs great on the handheld. Looking forward to playing it on the big screen this evening.
